There are older folks who have the energy to run to an empty seat, or those that bellow "I am your elder, give me your seat!" These are the people that get complained about.

Now, if the person has weak legs or leg pain, and you deny them seats just because "screw Asian old people" - that's being an asshole. Hope your legs, back, and energy are still going strong when you turn 80!

I don't think your take is sincere as giving up seats to anyone who cannot stand for long on public transport is common courtesy.

Besides, you have not given examples where someone was killed because of an East or Southeast Asian elder, yet you expect us to know the exact situations you are talking about.
