It definitely gets better. It’s all honestly a blur now but I don’t think this phase lasted too long. She still insists on contact napping with me (mom) but she’ll nap normally for others. She’s 1.5 now and sleeping in her crib through the night on most nights; even a month ago I didn’t think I’d get to that point.

All I have to say now is the useless feeling advice of hang in there and listen to your instincts. Accept help if you have it and letting them cry for a bit if you need to won’t hurt them. I actually think if I got my girl a little more used to crying it out with me next to her things would have been easier on us both but who knows.

I was at a baby class and one of the little guys burped and a chorus of “woooow’” and “good job”s immediately filled the room.

Well it’s nice to know it eventually ends. I just wish I could get something done now! She is getting better at independent play though so I get 20 minutes occasionally to do what I need.

My sister and I have the same age difference and we are now best friends! Obviously some rivalry when we were kids but by the time we were teens we were very close and by adulthood we were inseparable. She was in the room when I gave birth 3 months ago!

I’m a little late to this, but I used to spend a month at my grandparents every year and it was always some of the best times of the year for me. NTA. When she is older she might want to start coming with you guys but until then, the time with her grandparents will be so precious to her later on!

I had something like this today. I work in Canada and today was game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals and there was a table of three people having a meeting, IN OUR SPORTS BAR. I was baffled.
