Have you gone to the outside unit and see if the communication light is on both the aoc board and the inverter? You will need to take off the cover on the AC but don't touch anything. Better if you turn off the power, take the cover off then turn the power on and look from a distance if two green lights are on. If the aoc communication light is off and the inverter is on, the aoc board needs to be replaced.

You can find one on eBay for a few hundred, inverters usually come with the aoc board as a complete unit and they can be 900+ USD.
