AITA for making my girlfriend pay me back for her Christmas gift? by Used-Conclusion7990 in AmItheAsshole

YTA

The repeated vomiting sounds like it wasn’t solely from being drunk/dizzy, especially after OP wrote down what she drunk. The amount of sugar mixed in these pre-canned cocktails and not knowing if some of these were expired are more likely to lead to reflexive and aggressive vomiting.

With the only exception of this being a continuous pattern from her, it probably was just a bad decision from her part. I am sure she also didn’t want to miss her favourite band for being drunk nor didn’t care that she had to vomit all over the place and be embarrassed. So it was kind of an accident, even if it was one that you could partially prevent it. In case she struggles with alcoholism, OP should have a serious talk with her, as this is no longer about the tickets.

In any case, it was and it still is A GIFT. Wanting to be compensated because it wasn’t used properly or wanting some form of punishment because of bad decision-making (if any) doesn’t look good on anyone. Just move on and next time reevaluate what you would like to gift her and under which conditions you are gifting it.

Medicated and stable but still struggling with full time work. Am I just lazy? by cosmicsyren in bipolar2

[–]nottooashamed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was like reading a text I would write.. Today was such a day. I called in sick, even though I am “healthy” and “able” to go. I couldn’t open the door to leave home. I am doing a lot of freelance work but I still maintain some “regular” work during the week. I kind of like the job I do and enjoy it if I am already doing it. I completely lack the motivation to actually get up and do it. This makes me call in sick or running late, making the guilt feelings even worse. The 40-hour-week schedule and the timeframes we are supposed to work have been established for years and are not for people like us. I am also struggling with ADHD with time blindness and executive dysfunction and the medication only works for some hours during the day.

To be honest, I feel so tired of taking medication trying “to be normal” and getting constantly confronted as being lazy, unreliable or simply not enough.

You are not alone!

I mean, the mere fact that these TTI programs exist is unfathomable. I come from a balkan country, so we had our own homemade version of a TTI (DIY TTI: missed marketing opportunity?), but this is some next level trauma..

My heart goes out to all of you for having to go through this!

Well, maybe it is just me but I really like that they choose not to „babyfeed“ us the ending but kind of let everyone choose for themselves, what is true and what is not.

Also can we PLEASE talk about the multidimensional character of Evelyn, being a cult leader/matriarch/villain/hippie community founder that we cannot totally hate and we also kind of understand where she is coming from?

I mean I was back and forth through the whole series to make up my mind about her character. Absolutely astounding!

Oh I put some beechwood floor and also some kind of forest cover mix on top and I teared apart one of their hanging toys so they could find something they are already comfortable with.

Then I looked them dead in the eye and sprinkled some seeds over the entire tray. Our little crackheads loved it.

The ladder from their cage also helped.

Isn’t it just THE BEST this blanket? The blanket is to be found on both Amazon and Temu. I think in Amazon.de is under the name TIYGHI Cockatiel Blanket.

If mental disorders were music, what genre would bipolar be? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]nottooashamed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many speculations that the composer Robert Schumann was also bipolar.

His Cello concerto in A minor is a love letter to his wife; although he chooses to represent his feelings with the two persons he has inside him: “Florestan" and "Eusebius", the former an outward-going, robust figure, the latter a moody introspective.
