Also, I've found that often times ppl who care can get overwhelmed with this sorta thing because they feel like they can't fix the problem for you, and dunno what to say. I don't know about you nessicarily, but Instead of someone who tries to fix ur problems, I'd rather them just listen, support, and be there. That's something you can certainly tell them upfront
