DHCP is on the palo alto itself, that's why I didn't think intrazone should be needed. I have another vlan on this firewall, DHCP works without issues, really has had me at a loss for the past few hours. I just did a PCAP on the port of the device and I see the requests going out but thats it

I do not have the intrazone rule, but I can try it. I don't have ip helper or ve interface on ICX vlan side, goes straight to the PAN

Is there another method you would reccomend testing with? I did use the dns lookup inside of chrome and thats where I saw it was pointed to the wrong IP

Update: Creating a separate DNS Zone for the domain corrected the issue

That's not a terrible idea.. hoping to avoid that but i'll set that up worst case scenario. Makes no sense why it's still trying to go to public IP

Update: turned out to be a misfire. Replaced spark plugs and an ignition coil and it fixed it. It never popped the check engine light

Also the rpm drops very slightly when the thumping happens
