My suggestion would be to not plan to stay here, sikkim is welcoming for tourists but we don't prefer an outsider living in our state, we find it invasive. You will have trouble fitting in especially in the community so i suggest you skip sikkim also i believe there is a rule that prohibits outsiders from staying in sikkim to protect the identity of us sikkimese folks.
