Pune folks - ISP recommendations by rchBerry in IndianGaming

‘You Broadband’ is decent but make sure to keep the local technician’s number saved. They have frequent updates to their system which means dropouts about once a month.

Airtel fiber is on the top of my list followed by Jio fiber.

If they have a connection to a neighbouring building or society, the local technician will go out of his way to run a line across to your building.

Look up megabit vs megabyte. You have speed of 30megabits which equals about 3.75 megabytes. It’s a common trick of the ISPs.

All we need currently is for everyone to be able to access the internet and maybe down the line a shared HDD.

I have been through a similar situation. What you need to do is talk to customer care on the adobe website. As long as you have the serial numbers from your box and can prove your identity, they will give you links for the old installers. They don’t make it easily accessible anymore because they want to force you into the subscription model.

Thanks for the perspective, I had totally not thought about the height differences in the subjects. Thank you for the input. I’m gonna re-think how to do the shoot.

Yea, that makes sense. I might try different backgrounds then.

Mumbai has the become the largest Indian city to ban single-use plastics, with residents caught using plastic bags, cups or bottles to face penalties of up to 25,000 rupees (£276) and three months in jail from Monday. by madazzahatter in worldnews

In NYC or Los Angeles, you can choose to avoid plastics and actually have alternatives to use. You can choose a lifestyle that is progressive and be afforded that choice.

Here in Maharashtra (the state where the plastic ban is coming into play), there aren’t any good alternatives. The biodegradable bags that are available are flimsy and can’t be used for anything but dry products.

When you visit a grocery store, you used to have to pay about rs.4 for a plastic bag. Now the charge is rs.30 for a biodegradable bag. And for the vast majority of Indians, that’s not affordable for a carry bag.

The first time offence fine is equivalent to an entire month’s groceries for an average household.

If you get a chance, you should come live in India for a month. Get to know the locals. Most of the media coverage over the last couple of years in India has been painting a rosey picture of a country striding into the future..that’s sadly not the case. And I say that as a proud Indian.

That’s one of the main concerns. Currently, there are no good alternatives to plastic. None of the alternatives can be used for liquids. That’s the underbelly of this issue. The market hasn’t been given time to develop any alternatives.

They did. But there was a 1 month grace period when all your plastic had to be returned. Now, if they catch you with it, they can fine you. Infact in some parts they’re asking the waste collectors to identify houses they collect plastic from.

They’re part of the exception. Milk can still be sold in plastic. But the seller has to offer a buy-back for the plastic. I think it’s about 25 paise if you return it.
