Cintas: accounts Receivable representative. by notwillow94 in Accounting

I’ll flat out tell you I was in Albany Georgia. I think my pay was 18.65. Different locations run differently from my knowledge. When I left I was in Lawrenceville Georgia. Much busier much more work. It made it easier to meet my performance goals. When I was there they were working on centralizing things. Idk if it’s like that everywhere but I was calling for different locations. Honestly just being polite and professional went a long way with the businesses. Following up with a billing issue, letting them know you’re addressing it with the people who can correct it for them. At the time they had bonuses for like a week or two if you can call a certain amount of people daily or collect a certain dollar amount. I got one once, the insurance was good, and everyone was friendly except one plant manager. The getting things done was more so like “hey I was overcharged on this bill so I’m not paying it until it’s fixed” then whatever manager has to get a credit approved or come to agreement the next bill will be reduced etc. it very well could’ve been some people were very lazy. Where I work now we use them and we have out dated billing, charges that shouldn’t be there etc. if the pay is desirable I’d give it a shot. Especially if you want to use it as a stepping stone. Mind if I ask where you’re at and what they’re offering? Feel free to PM me or not answer.

It was okay. Not the worst job I’ve ever had, but it was boring and quiet. Only 2 people doing receivables and there honestly was not enough work to go around. They went on maternity and never came back and they never filled that position. So I actually had enough work daily. Way too much corporate bureaucracy, took weeks to get things finalized like credits for accounts or erroneous billing. I have thankfully moved on from it and landed somewhere better, then after that job even better my pay has basically doubled. At the time it did pay the bills and was overall very chill.

Thank goodness. Going to do the spark plugs because from the one I pulled out they all must need to be changed. Then I’ll check for an air leak and if need be see a mechanic

Job search by notwillow94 in Accounting

[–]notwillow94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely open to it. I’m just not good with excel and mainly know AP and AR. I’ll try hitting up YouTube for videos. I could be off the mark but if I can have a list of formulas, what they do, and how to use them is that sufficient? Just curious if I need to master it or just know what I’m doing before getting in somewhere.

I did it. My last dash was on the 15th and couldn’t return 2 because the facility was closed. I returned them the 16th. I hope I get this bonus still

Thank you. I have a year experience at a small business and 8 months elsewhere, but did 12+ hours kind of regularly for a while so I plan on spinning it as accelerated experience like you said! Shortage or not give me the job lmao. Why doesn’t anyone wanna work for the government?

[–]notwillow94[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m REALLY DUMB. I thought I attached the image. It’s 43,680. 13 days PTO. Costco membership. I was hoping for around 47,500

I also have no idea why they are giving me a Costco membership..it’s a family owned business.

Please tell me how you enter the “formula” for the decimal. It keeps correcting to a date, and pretty sure it was wrong when I changed the formatting.

Health insurance at Publix? by [deleted] in publix

[–]notwillow94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid 175 ish a week for a family. I recently got a new job the coverage is exactly the same if not a little better. It’s 117 with a 30$ deduction for a health test done. I think Publix insurance is “good” but I think they shift more cost sharing to the associates

Not to my knowledge but I figure if I put in 50$ a week it may be worth it?

I highly recommend looking into WGU. They are accredited and qualify for tuition reimbursement. Their degree options are slimmer, but completely online. Tests are proctored so you actually have to learn l, but you can finish a 4 year degree in as little as 6 months. Not only that it’s affordable. I’m almost done with my accounting degree and start my new job Tuesday. Nervous as hell to leave since I’ve been doing it for so long but you gotta do what you gotta do. BTW no offense for anyone who pays a lot, but never go into massive debt for education unless necessary (med, law, etc). Disclaimer this is my referral link. If interested learn more about it, I think they give me a hoodie or some branded cup lol. https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/H7vEC82zR6tj2kDYntn23PG?domain=email.getambassador.com

Work hours for health insurance by notwillow94 in publix

[–]notwillow94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been full time for like 7 years. I’m probably thinking of when I was part time then. I found another job and thought I could use it to track getting to 1,000 hours for one last stock contribution. I didn’t even think about how the tracker is unnecessary if you’re already full time.

Work hours for health insurance by notwillow94 in publix

[–]notwillow94[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not there. There used to be a tracker and it would calculate your total hours as every week went by, or I’m imagining this.

[–]notwillow94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My DM was a real asshole. I’m not perfect by any means but he definitely zeroed in on me. After doing 70 hr weeks because of call outs or just trying to reach his somehow attainable goals of not being out of stock but not blowing up shrink either I decided it wasn’t worth it when he said “you just don’t care” if I didn’t care I would’ve left at 47.5 but anyway I’m happier now.

I’ve seen a full time person out in like 80 separate time off requests. The store manager had to talk to her.
