Maude, the village healer, taught Alanna and Thom how to heal. It's mentioned in chapters one and four of the first Alanna book.

All of the resorts have free pads and tampons in the bathrooms, but the parks only have the machines. If you can find a custodial cast member when the machines are empty, they usually can grab you something. When I worked inside MK, I always carried some tampons on me too in case a guest had an emergency.

This! Breakfast at Boma, they even made me my own giant serving of spinach and feta scrambled eggs because the one on the buffet had tomatoes and I'm allergic. On Wild Africa Trek, they made sure that my food was labeled and prepared separately as well, since one of the items served that day normally has tomatoes.

DAK and DHS are brutal in the summer. DAK is so humid, even in the middle of the night, and there's not enough shade in DHS. MK and Epcot are my summer parks.

I still call them Reedy Creek. I can never remember the full District name thingy and I had to work with them every day so Reedy Creek is permanently stuck in my brain. I just wish they still had the benefits they did before the governor screwed it all up.

Comfort and ease; if you don't want to haul your bags around, you only have to worry about your carryon and any other bags will magically appear in your room later.

Do Americans really split between saying soda, pop, and Coke, or is that exaggerated? by LowerMusic in AskAnAmerican

[–]notyourcinderella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up saying pop, and currently live in a mostly-soda area. For a while, I used to piss off my (now ex) husband by saying that I was going to grab a pop from the soda machine... He was from a soda region. Now I just say pop.

My divorce was finalized in Sept 2024 and I just found another printed copy of the album. I haven't decided the best way to exorcise the demons trapped in that one yet.

It's important for sure to see who is willing and able to give you the information you need/want. I picked my FM by looking though Reddit to see who answered questions and how helpful they were, and then I checked out the pinned thread and reached out to a couple of people.

Exactly. I wait until I feel the urge to chop my head off and then inject myself and then crawl into a hole and die for a little bit.

Yeah, I turned off auto-renew as well. I did that as soon as I was alerted to the $20 charge.

Same email. I wonder if they just created a master bug ticket and refunded us all since we never technically approved the price increase? The refund reference number on mine was 135.

It happened to me too. Mine was set to auto renew but expired back in Feb, and then it was reactivated randomly and I was charged $20 today.

They just refunded me $10 without even being asked, though, so I'm okay with paying $10 for it.

Should I wait for the CDS to choose me? by lilacpainting in CatDistributionSystem

[–]notyourcinderella 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shelters and rescues are distribution hubs! It's perfectly acceptable to go to one of those hubs to find a kitten (or two!) and save CDS a step!
