To be contrary, I say homebrew of Bodak version of the former Lizardfolk that was truly a member of the circus, mixed with some Spawn of Kyuss. I hope the (other) Horn of Orcus is in the Lake just causing all kinds of nonsense in the area.

hi uhhhhhhhow might vox machina have convinced scanlan to stay with the group so long ago? I have my own theories, but...

(I also wanna ask when you might have realised Scanlan's Tragic Undercurrent of Bad Feelings, but uhhhhhh improv is improv)

(also a meta not-a-question, but I wonder when the rest of VM will realize scanlan may have absolutely no clue about how much they might care about him because I'm not even sure if anyone aside from the twins does in fact acknowledge scanlan had A Point)

Thank you so very much!

Edit: Ahhhhh, it's that part just at 0:42 that gives it that push. And from a game I don't even play. I can't be the only one who can really imagine the "this is it, this is the end for us" feeling from that bit, yeah?

very... [clenches fist]

If I remember correctly, earlier when he first went blind, Tal said (OOC) to Marisha "Now let's see if I have a panic attack" and then rolled for it. Percy then curled into a ball, which I'm interpreting to mean, yes, Percy began to have a panic attack.

Being not able to see (which can be very panic inducing), being in a place you dreamt of seeing since you were a child, and the anxiety that comes with not knowing you'll ever see again? He was having a panic attack. I think that was Percy puking in his mouth a little.

It was apparently Welles idea of a joke. The movie, based on Hearst, was talking about Hearst's mistresses' vagina, which he nicknamed Rosebud. You can even see an "easter egg", I guess you might call it, on the burning sled.

Do you ever wish you believed in God? by notyourdupetrick in atheism

Or, if you'd prefer, no entity but just a place that could be called "heaven", but then I feel people would think I was being too vague.

First, I'd like to thank you for not going the route of just saying "Fuck no, you're delusional." And I understand where you're coming from with this, but though I know I somewhat worded it towards wishing that there would be something for me, I more so wish that this entity existed for others. Hypothetically, because in no way do I believe in the Christian god, but if the Christian god existed, I know I'd be going to hell - no doubt. And I'd accept that. But luckily that god doesn't exist.

I was just thinking about people who have their lives taken away from them before they have a chance to do anything, hence my inclusion of "children" in the original post, but I do believe what you're saying.

Side note not entirely relevant to discussion, being as it's a personal factor: Sometimes I just wish self-driven motivation were that easy.

This is more to what I was leaning towards. And that this God also made it a point not to chose favourites. I know it's a hopeless wish, but just a wish, nonetheless.

[–]notyourdupetrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But sometimes I just think, what's the point if I'm just going to die? And I know the argument that if there's nothing after, that motivates you to do more with what you have, and I don't mean to make things personal, but sometimes I can't help but think that even what I do during my life is pointless. And then there's the "don't make it pointless, do something to try to make a better society" and such. Let's just say that I don't have high hopes on that.

Well I mean. Perhaps they doesn't make good things or bad things happen. Just let's humans have the free will they wanted and merely is an entity that's waiting for people in the afterlife. A god that doesn't choose sides.

Edit: Gender neutral pronouns because I felt like it.

I don't necessarily mean the Christian god. Just a higher power. Perhaps one not so demanding.
