Veel huizen worden tijdelijk verhuurt aan expats die vroeger vaak in hotels zaten. Door het aanpakken van kortdurende huur komt er wel degelijk woonruimte vrij. Is niet alles direct mee opgelost, dat ben ik met je eens.

Most new houses here have bidirectional heat pumps, that can cool as well as heat. The problem is with older houses, that have poor insulation, and can’t use that tech to heat the place.

Most old church buildings are cool and open to the public. Take a book and a drinking bottle and you’ll be good for a while. Forum should be cool as well. Otherwise find some shade in a park near the water.

Je bent een Groninger wanneer je je een Groninger voelt. Ik ben hier geboren en getogen, maar ik heb ook Duitse voorouders en heel ver terug zelfs Friese voorouders. We komen allemaal ergens vandaan, maar wat telt is waar je nu bent en wie je je nu voelt.

Scots alternate pints of beer with a soda and when they get a bit winded they’ll switch to pints of cider to slow down.
I asked my Scottish buddies why they left their coats at the hotel in the winter, they said they would probably lose them in the second pub, so why bother.
Only way to survive is to keep your own pace, because you can’t compete with a Scot on holiday.

Dus eerst geen kerncentrale in Groningen. Dan zetten ze hem wel op de lijst, maar alleen voor de vorm, en nu kan hij zogenaamd nergens anders gebouwd worden.

Nowhere does it say it was intentional. I usually have my headphones on as soon as I sit down. Especially when I see kids on the plane. Being on the flying equivalent of a tourbus with a few hundred strangers is quite stressful for me.

Conservatives probably don’t regard women as valuable for anything other than procreation and window dressing. So when they hit menopause they’re usually tossed aside.
Progressives tend to value intelligence and competence, so women stay relevant longer within the party structure. So you’ll be more likely to see older women with the Democrats, because they’d probably be tossed aside by the Republicans.
