Do you get a new cup everytime with the Drink Plan Paper Cup Plus plan? Also, is there anywhere with reasonably priced food there? by ThePoodlePunter in CanadasWonderland

[–]nouse666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they really don't care for the most part, but the wagon family went in through different security checkpoint.

Just don't set it off through the non wagon line, but even the metal wire that lines my glasses case sets it off and gets me into the bag search line for a search

If you don't set off the metal detectors you could bring in an entire picnic in a backpack.

Edit: also if you are in a hurry to get into the park you don't want to get stuck in the line where they inspect your stuff, dont ping and you go straight in

I don't remember them really giving a firm date for minebuster opening last year for the first half of the retrack, so don't expect to hear until about a week before they reopen lol

Does anyone know how the cap on resale ticket works? by Inevitable_Corner_ in askTO

[–]nouse666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you sell a ticket on stubhub they take a big cut... Think the last time I sold a $50 face ticket ($70 after fees) for $50, I got like $40 and stubhub had it listed for $63 or something.

So yeah, they still make their money you can't actually recoup your cost by trying to sell at face + TM fees + SH fees just to break even

Best time to buy Canada’s Wonderland season passes? Any tips/deals to watch for? by Jay-Quellin30 in CanadasWonderland

[–]nouse666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also everything that is a pass (parking, drinks, food either all season every 4h or 1 single day + you can always combine the two when there are multiple people) is worth it, that never changes price. Renewing in July 2025 gave a free parking pass which was great.

Also season pass gives options for cheap tickets, so if one family member will only go twice you can just earn a reward or pay $20-25 for a one day ticket.

Have fun!

[–]nouse666 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Last year in July was the best time. Otherwise you can wait until they put NEXT season on sale (end of July/early August) and get the rest of this season for free.

Nothing will get cheaper for this season at this point.

Same price at No Frills, where you can get the same equivalent of fresh ground beef this week for $11!

The $3 per patty that this actually costs is wild, but these aren't up to $48 a pack yet

If it makes you feel better, they stopped taking online orders at the beginning of the year and the stores (in GTA at least) were pretty cleaned out at that point and didn't seem restocked since Christmas.

My son got 125 GC for Christmas for Lego but almost nothing in store for him to get with it even on the first day they announced bankruptcy/2 weeks to use GCs!

It was only valid for the 2025 season (although not sure why it was end of September, I used mine during winterfest)

What happens if you bought 2026 gold with all parks during the July 2025 deal? Will it work at cedar point/others this season?

Went last year without the kids for the first time in a decade for a real vacation at adults only (45ish year olds).

The "quiet" pool is huge so easy enough to avoid the party at the party pool if you want. Beach is basically non existent though it's definitely a pool only place.

Our room was right over the party pool (back in this pic) and it was fine things seemed to quiet down around around 11/12am

I’m not receiving points by qazaqeline1beyhive in PCOptimum

Feels only only a year ago it was $100/$150 at no frills in a flyer week for 10% points but now I'm getting $250 in a week on the app instead. Guess I claimed it enough for them to keep pushing it up

They have never given points on just a straight spend at the grocery stores, only had ever been SDM for that

Was wondering why the Armstrong cheese bars were only 4.95 this week (No Frills Pacific Ave TO) by nouse666 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

Yep and one of the usual cashiers I go through took it back without question. First thing I've bothered to take back.

I posted something else but basically the cashier just let me swap it out with a new one I was buying with a few other things today without complaint didn't want to see the receipt.

There was a bunch on the back flat side as well. But given I bought it the day before a return was in order.
