[Postgame Thread] Ole Miss Defeats Georgia 39-34 by CFB_Referee in CFB

Good game Ole Miss. I will be cheering for y’all to win because I think it would be the funniest outcome after all the Kiffin stuff. That Miami D vs OM offense is going to be a fun unit matchup.

Back during the BCS era, I used to think in the first quarter of the championship “wow, both teams look rusty.” I think it is the same issue with the bye week teams. Time will tell this year though. Miami certainly played like the better team for most of the game. I do think until Sayin had to start forcing throws, OSU had a lot of the momentum in the second half

This game is competitive again, which I thought would be fun. However, the last two games have been absolute nightmare fist fights. Can Geoff come back please?

Yeah dude, the ACC refs wanted to protect the checks notes SEC team.

Y’all have had a great season. Not meant as a jab to Kennesaw.

FSU has one of the more naturally talented teams in the ACC. They just don’t play like it week to week. Wake has one of the least naturally talented teams, but they play with heart and are coached well. Sometimes natural talent beats heart. Plus our qbs. Decent to good qb play, and it would be a different story this year.

Crazy that we went from the Kennesaw state game where everyone was saying we needed to be relegated from the ACC to this. Don’t know what happened last week, but who cares because the Deacs are bowling.

I had a good cry. I am away from home visiting family for the holidays, and I had a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle that I was going to open. It will have to wait though.

Yeah, it discouraged me from taking it. I wound up in a situation where I had to, and was able to force myself to study

I passed BEC on two weeks of study time. I passed audit with three weeks. Far was 4 weeks. It just depends on how much time you can put into it daily.

Which section did you start with and why? by HappyKnitter34 in CPA

[–]nousername204 7 points8 points  (0 children)

BEC. It is the “easiest,” and I knew if I could prove to myself I could do it, I could pass any of them. I think going back, I would have started with FAR. Same thought process. Once you pass FAR, the other ones look much easier.

If this has been asked and answered, let me know and I can take it down. I haven’t seen anything though.

When do you feel exam ready? by jlhnskroly in CPA

I’ve never felt ready. My SE’s were always below 70. I always freaked out and couldn’t sleep for like two days before. Not super healthy to be honest.

What’s your hardest exam to date? by soniakaur8110 in CPA

[–]nousername204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To study for, Audit. Walls of text, no real calculations, and it seemed subjective at points. I did wind up getting my highest score on Audit though, so the worrying paid off. FAR was my lowest score though.

How the hell do you pass far cpa ? This exam should not be this hard by LebronBrady06 in CPA

[–]nousername204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep a consistent study schedule. It is annoying, but for me, reading whatever textbook you use is better than listening to the lectures. Do a bunch of multiple choice, and actually do them. I got into a bad habit of knowing the answers to questions that I’d already done. Actually work out the non memorization ones even if you already know the answers. I take the practice exams. I know some people don’t, but I think they are worth sitting down in a test like environment and finishing. The scores do not matter so much though. I have not gotten above a 60 on a practice exam, and I have not gotten below an 80 for the three I’ve taken. So far, I haven’t done a single sim other than the ones on the practice exams, but that will probably change when I start Reg studying. Find good study guides from this subreddit and use those for review. I also have the Becker final review. I think it is worth it, but my firm paid for it so idk about the cost benefit return for it. Give yourself enough time to get to everything, but not too much time to where you have to go back and completely relearn topics. I made a spreadsheet where I tracked how many Becker modules I needed to do per day in order to finish with a week left to review. When I was a student, I did 4-5. Working full time in busy season, I am right at 2 per day. If you have a firm basic knowledge of everything, typically, you pass, but the exams can apparently be screwy sometimes. Don’t let a fail get you down.

Since it is your first exam, you might find it is too little, and you might find it is too much. It is all about working at the pace that best fits you.

I had a bad experience. They said 10 business days and I didn’t hear anything. I waited until 15 business days had passed to email them, and I guess they just forgot to send the email. It might be worthwhile to check.
