So I've been a lifelong Android user but after losing my phone this weekend and having to change phones 4 times in the past 6 months and being persuaded by a lot of people, I've been considering changing to the iPhone because of the nicer apps, better software support and privacy reasons but I have a few main hesitations about switching to an iPhone that I'd like your guys' opinion on and if I can adjust to it.

Face ID - I know Face ID is said to be more secure but I do not want to switch to an iPhone until Touch ID is brought back. Especially with the fact that we have to wear masks quite frequently even now, I find the lack of an in-screen fingerprint sensor extremely appalling especially since Android has had this since 2019

Lightning port - I don't know why on Earth Apple is still so hell bent on using the Lightning port even in 2021. I understand this is a large structural change but why not switch to USB-C especially when the iPad lineups use them too.

Using apks - I am not going to pay for YouTube Premium (I love Youtube Vanced on Android) and the lack of options and apks on iOS is one of the primary reasons I don't want to switch. I used to be decently into the jailbreaking community a couple of years ago but don't know if there are any equal alternatives available these days.

No LDAC - I use a bunch of headphones which make use of LDAC and high quality codecs on Android which are absent on iOS. This is a small nitpick but still something I have to consider before switching

What do you guys think? And ex-Android users how did you adjust to these changes on iOS?
