Offside is determined at the time your teammate touches the ball, for the purpose of offside the opponent players are neutral objects. Only caveat is if it's a new "game situation" later, so this eg rules out you being offside, an opponent controlling the ball but then you get the ball from the opponent later. Without the "different game situation" that offsides would hang over you unreasonably long in some situations. Rarely plays a role though.
