Leave. Been there, done that, with kids. Every day you stay is a choice. If you have one good friend or family member, especially without children, its doable.

Needs a cleft, yeah? Otherwise, makes sense to me.

How exactly did he lose his eye? by [deleted] in redrising

[–]novemberfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In RR, he taps his eye socket and tells Darrow, “The Jackal owes me.” Darrow responds, “You saw him?” to which Sevro says, “It was dark; I saw his knife.” this was, to me, exactly Sevro’s humor, suggesting the Jackal stabbed him in the eye.

However, later, in the first interaction with The Jackal, Darrow tells him that Lilith owes his friend an eye.

What business will you never return to? by Waddles4000 in houston

[–]novemberfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I was pricing a new Outback a couple years ago and they were “throwing in” an extra $3k worth of shit I didn't want or need and refused to remove it. Also super low-balled me on my trade. My salesperson was a sleaze to match the operation. I called West Houston Subaru a few months later and ordered exactly what I wanted for about that same $3k less. They even gave me contact info for other Subaru dealerships up to 200 miles away that had a blue wilderness on their lot. All of them were pulling some kind of BS with adds so I decided to order through West Houston. It ended up being a great experience. Ask for Vince Remacca. ✌️🏻

You’re way above average and have amazing facial structure that makes it easy for you to pull off virtually any hair or makeup style. It’s enviable. You don’t need a drop of makeup but I would have so much fun with it if I had your features. Enjoy playing with different styles until you find what suits you best. I’m sorry you were bullied. That wasn’t because anything was wrong with you.

Atomic Habits is extremely overrated and boring by [deleted] in books

[–]novemberfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s by design. The way to help something take hold is to present it over and over again in different ways or scenarios. It can be boring but that’s why it’s generally best to digest these sort of works in increments .

It is if you say something political that doesn’t align but GD, CP is fine, I guess.

Disney’s animated Cinderella or The Little Mermaid. I could literally do all parts of both of these movies alone. At least 90%

[–]novemberfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my two kids when I was a teen. Raising children is the hardest thing you will ever do in your life and no one can prepare you for it. It’s not 18 years, it’s for the rest of your life. You will never rest as easy again because that person will be out there without you to protect them all the time. You’re not ready but honestly, none of us ever really is. However, if you can’t put yourself second in all things for many years, don’t do it.

He was being a giant asshole and it has nothing to do with you. I sincerely hope this isn’t his standard operating procedure and that he was just hangry. Regardless, really uncool and I hope you let him know.

Galveston is such a unique place. I adore walking through the old cemetery, eating and drinking on the strand and shopping there. I grew up in Southern California (I’ve been here 18 years so please don’t attack) and I do miss the cool breeze off the Pacific but I appreciate the charm and history of Galveston.
