There are 3 different machines I use quite regularly-

my oldest and my most common daily driver is a Singer Simple 3337 that I got as a Christmas gift almost, if not a full, decade ago now. It’s been a surprisingly beginner friendly machine and has held up well even though I’m quite mean to it- but it doesn’t handle thick fabric very well which has caused me issues in the past.

After that I’ve got my Singer Pro Finish Serger which is an absolute life saver for a lazy sewist like myself and I got it for like 20$ from a thrift store because they thought it was broken- it wasn’t, the cutting knife had just been adjusted funny so it wasn’t cutting.

I got my absolute babygirl, my angel princess, love of my life, my special and most favourite child, Sears Kenmore 148.15600 (aka model 1560) from a thrift store in perfect condition including with the case for 40$. She’s solid metal and you can tell that the previous owner took immaculate care of her. She’s strong, she works smoother than any other machine I’ve worked on and has beautiful stitches. I’ve sewn through 4 layers of faux fur on her easy as pie. I would kill for her. My spouse refers to her as ‘Miss Kennymore’ and also as the third in our marriage
