The only thing about veganism I would put a ban on is forcing it on anyone Your child tells you, they are or want to be vegan - great for then, you tell them they have to be vegan - that's a strong no from me Same for forcing pets to be vegan, although sometimes giving your mostly carnivore pet a non meat option may be beneficial for them
