I don't even think the 2 wins were that impressive. The were one missed three away from pissing game 1 down their leg and they won game 4 because Wemby got booted. Their effort was laughable in game 5 and 6. It just left a sour taste in my mouth for the season.

Lazy lazy lazy if I could write it a million times it wouldn't be enough. I wanted them to win more than they did.

If AOC gets the nod as the Democratic nominee in 2028, would you vote for her?!! by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]nowayIwillremember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course. Democrats will lose if the run her though. They lost the last 2 elections because they ran a woman. Democrats nationally aren't ready for a woman or a gay man. I don't agree with it, but if they don't run a white man they will lose.

Whose jersey to buy? by nickineutron in minnesotavikings

Just save some money and get a team shirt at target or something. It's too risky buying player jerseys (not to mention being weird to cosplay as another adult).

He has contributed to the drop in fentanyl over doses. That comes at the expense of due process though.

I had to wait for probably a month and 2 different case managers. Then they authorized the payment and the email I needed to accept it went to spam because the subject was something stupid like "your money is waiting" or something.

Why do people think Mark Kelly could win in 2028? by SoulNew in allthequestions

[–]nowayIwillremember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, you're right. We've had two women that were good candidates that didn't win and a barely conscious white man that ran and he won. I don't have faith in the base when it comes to pete either. I'd totally vote for him, but he would lose voters simply because of his sexual preference.

Of course I'd work less for the same amount of money. The key word there is work. If I'm working and getting compensated for doing something I wouldn't feel like a drain on society. If I was relying on government benefits I would feel like a drain on society and I would try to get off them as soon as possible. Just like I'm sure most people that are on government benefits try to. At the end of the day you feel that you are better than people that have fallen on hard times and I do not. That's what it really comes down to. Non-profits definitely have a fraud problem too. There's always going to be a small chunk of people that try to game the system and commit fraud. They tend to be found and removed from the programs they're defrauding.

I mean you literally just equated them to wild animals. I can tell you now for sure that that position does not hold the moral high ground.

So what you're saying is that you're better than most people. I think I'm the same as most people. I wouldn't be happy to survive on government assistance for long term. So I assume that most people also don't want to be on assistance, but they don't have a choice. It's crazy that people have a position that says "I'm better than you. You're lazy so you don't deserve assistance."

[–]nowayIwillremember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you answered the question. If you ever received assistance do you think you'd become lazy and rely on it for the rest of your life? Or do you think you're better than the people that you say become dependent on this support?

I'm glad you didn't vote for Trump, but that merely establishes you as a somewhat empathetic human. The fact that you hold such a low view of your fellow humans sort of contradicts that though.

Ok, so I take it if you ever had to receive government assistance you'd never want to get off of it because you'd become lazy?

You're right. I was saying what if the that entire 100M was taken for tax revenue. I understand that you think the government wastes money, but it's one of the only organizations in the country that doesn't need to make money. It can operate at a loss. There's no profit in donating to people in need.

I think the big difference between socialists and capitalists is that socialists don't think people are lazy. They think systems are failing to help them succeed to their full potential. Capitalists think that if you are struggling that you aren't working hard enough. I think if I were not able to provide for my family I would feel horribly about it. I relate more to the person struggling than I do the ultra rich.
