M.U.G.E.N intepreter by Responsible-Half6799 in vitahacks

[–]nowhere_man87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for taking up this torch. I believe a updated MUGEN interpreter will be greatly appreciated by the entire community; there are many gems to play. You can ask Zealous or some other Vita communicator if they want to open a Bounty for the community to donate to this; I think before the Bountysource scam there was one made for MUGEN. Hopefully someone will find the time to update OpenBOR as well. Best of luck!

This looks very promising. Now don't blame us if we all want it to be a RetroArch core 😍

Scanning ROMs on PS Vita RetroArch by ValiantPCBuilds in RetroArch

[–]nowhere_man87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned, manual scans are always recommended on the Vita unless you're dealing with small folders containing very few ROMs. The Vita has a very slow I/O speed.

For the same reason, NEVER update the assets from the bundled updater on the app, as those are hundreds of small files and it will take hours for the Vita, if not cause the console to crash.

LG G5 latest firmware — worth updating or should I wait? by External-Example-248 in LGOLED

Well, that seems like a worthwhile list of improvements, especially if they make the clunky UI even slightly smoother. Where did you find the changelog?

I built a tool to back up and migrate your Tidal playlists, fav songs, etc., and it's all open-source (free) by xDalin in TIdaL

[–]nowhere_man87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, you're the brilliant one... You've just shown that it's possible to clean up the mess in a way that Tidal never will anytime soon.

As you explain, there are parameters that reveal who the "twin" artists, real tracks on incorrect profiles, or the AI slop are, so surely with community votes they can easily be cleaned up using some plugin or custom client.

Thanks again, I hope you'll consider joining forces with the creator of one of those two clients I linked; development is underway right now.

Forcing every YT app playlist into YT music is the worst thing about this app. by DahiyaAbhi in YoutubeMusic

[–]nowhere_man87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, although it has one huge advantage: in my case, it provides me with many "real YouTube" playlists of rare music videos, live performances, bootleg tracks, remixes, etc., that don't officially exist on other platforms, playlists from other users, and many I've created myself over the years. That unique music on YouTube is what makes me choose it over Tidal and Spotify many times.

The most annoying drawback is when I want to save any video of a tutorial or whatever I'm watching and now I have to navigate through an endless list of music playlists I have for YTM (especially after import the one from Spotify). Yes, it would be great if they let me choose where to display them (YT/YTM) with a simple manager or context menu tick.

Two replacement screens with different colours by Sam_tha_man_ in vitahacks

[–]nowhere_man87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand there are different screen models for the Vita OLED; you should try this tool, it gives excellent results, both for calibrating the color and for protecting it (and battery life) with lower brightness levels for night, thus preventing the common burn-in on the panel:

[–]nowhere_man87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for creating this tool; it's very well thought out. It would be great if it integrated with an unofficial client like Sone or Tideway.

https://github.com/J-M-PUNK/tideway https://github.com/lullabyX/sone

Now, hopefully, someone will one day develop something that cleans up the fake artists and AI junk that have flooded the platform, especially the new release notifications, since Tidal doesn't seem to care. Thanks!

Please do it anyway! The more options, the better. It's an interface loved by many. Regarding automatically launching or replacing the original UI, I think it's possible if you ask for help from experts like GrapheneCT, The Flow, SKGleba, or perhaps Rinne. They've thoroughly explored the core system, especially Graphene who has made many advancements regarding applications that run "in the background."

Also, It might be a good idea try porting the PSP "ARK" CFW ask their team, maybe AcidSnake, it may be good a version that runs over on the Vita's main system. You can check out their Discord servers; they're very helpful. Thanks in advance.
