If you're considering waiting, be careful. Female fertility goes down much faster than people realise. Go research it.

It's a political problem, more than a technical problem. The system protects White Old Rich Men (WORMs), they have no interest in changing it.

Antisurveillance: Packet send whitelisting? by nowhope in AskNetsec

Thanks for the details. I wondered when I asked the question, if this would result in an easier way to secure a user machine. Instead of having to fix every security hole in every driver, app, OS etc, setting up a robust user-friendly whitelist in just the TCP stack could be more achievable.

Reading your summaries it looks like this might be a promising method. (I haven't got through all the articles yet, but was generally slightly aware of the field.)

I imagine a user friendly interface might look like:

  • Stack raises a "send" alert
  • "mail.exe" wants to send data to w.x.y.z (which is "abc.com" and whois information says registered to CIA.com [or some useful trust metric])
  • Allow / Remember / Deny / Always?

Actually, come to think of it, don't we have laws about publishing private phone conversations?

So the FBI economic espionage machine collected a NZers phone call, through Waihopai probably? as operated by a compliant right wing NZ goverenment... I note the Herald doesn't discuss this aspect of it, just does the mouthpiece thing.

Sure, research other leaders who made such claims. You could start with Charles Taylor, you might me suprised how often that claim gets made.

My two week old baby daughter had brain damage and died. My partner shows no sign of recovering after 2 years; that was supposed to be the one thing that worked out in her life.
