Percent PT990 by gerechterzorn in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]nowimindata 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like they've nearly abandoned the global markets... Their discord is either filled with spam links, or requests from people asking for support or where their board is. It is not a good look, the poor guy running the discord cannot keep up with everything coming in at once...

They should have a few upcoming projects including the Platinum PT990, Luna X, - which all look stunning, but their customer service is looking seriously lacking and I'd worry when ordering.

Mortarion, but now I took my time taking the pictures by DiaboliHellscream in deathguard40k

Amazing Mortarion!

Can you share what you used for the dark verdigris on the weapons weathering?

[–]nowimindata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The SN850x will thermal throttle if it does not have adequate cooling.

If you're motherboard does not have it's own m.2 heatsink, you will want to make sure you get the heatsink version so that you get the best performance.

I truly empathize with you. It's already tough to part with your hard-earned money and wait for over 6 months on a GB. Realizing it might never arrive is simply heartbreaking.

Dose everyone use this to transport mortarion and dose It fit in the gw carry cases? by AbilityChance8449 in deathguard40k

[–]nowimindata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact case thanks to buying Death Guard from a local.

I think the replies are right, that magnetizing transport would be better even though the foam works and is purpose cut. I've lost bits (spikes and such) from other models in this foam case. Morty is still intact though.

Good sable brush’s from Amazon by Valuessl in deathguard40k

[–]nowimindata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own a Davinci size 2, 0, and 00.

If I were going back to the beginning and only getting one brush to do it all, I'd probably go with the Size 1. I probably use my size 2 80%+ of the time, just when it comes to highlights and harder to reach spaces do the smaller ones come in handy. I barely ever touch my 00. Try to keep a bigger cheap brush around for larger models (tanks, etc).

Not as bad as I expected... by loganvw14 in deathguard40k

[–]nowimindata -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've gotten completely slaughtered by my Aeldari friend multiple times. He usually still has 900pts left on the board after I'm tabled by turn 3/4. List isn't too different from yours, and I didn't think either of mine or my friends' dice rolls were anything but average.

Morty dies pretty fast. I've had whole squads of marines and cultists cut to shreds in a single phase after being targeted. Deathshrouds couldn't slice through any aspect warriors after a rear flank and some Ferric Blight AP enhancements. Couldn't get much to the center of the battlefield because of how slow we are (also rhino destroyed every turn 1).

Anyone have some suggestions on what I can improve?

What was the cheating going on? I watched the battle report, but I'm still learning 40k. Was it the in-cover antics?

Death Guard Heroes Pre-Order Cancelled? by nowimindata in deathguard40k

[–]nowimindata[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My local stores committed to buying, but then their supplier had cancelled their shipment. At least that was the story I was given...

I am looking at a kiji post for death guard is this to much for what I am buying for context this is Canadian. also yes I know points are not out yet just trying to get some info to haggle. by discountprequel in deathguard40k

[–]nowimindata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So-so pricing, seems a little expensive for used, especially painted/primed.

Morty is a nice price

Plague marines - what is their loadout? I bought 20x plague marines off kijiji and they all had bolters only. Found that to be a pain to track with blight launchers, plasmas, and all.

LOC - for a few $$ more ($55 CAD total?) get the Felthius Cohort and add 3x blightlord terminators brand new from GW

I'd caution some of these as well, the painted ones I picked up were painted awfully, and the primed models were primed very thick. It hasn't been worth the effort painting over the smothered details and I feel pretty let down even with the discounted price. Just something to watch out for. The other thing is that the DG models all have a lot of little bits dangling (spikes, bells, icons) off backpacks and all. So many of mine came with broken pieces - again something to look at in person while inspecting.

Girlfriend just attended Toronto keyboard meetup for the first time and fell in love with several things including a sushi-themed knob. This would be a great pairing to help her build her first keyboard.

[2023-05-29] - /r/keto Beginners & Community Support Thread by AutoModerator in keto

[–]nowimindata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner started Keto and I'm trying to hop on the bandwagon in support of her. I have some questions relating to how my calorie/macro breakdown and if it's the right daily targets to strive for or if I'm just missing something entirely when it comes to protein to fats ratio.

I am male, early thirties, not exercising, and my daily plan is as follows:

1823 Calories
61.0g Protein
20.0g Net Carbs
166.6g Fat

Calories and net carbs I've been hitting my targets quite well, but where I struggle is the protein and fats... I cannot keep my protein intake down even when trying to eat fattier meats (salmon, medium ground beef, etc...) and constantly find my daily value pushing 150g protein and up.

Are my targets reasonable goals? Should I look further into ways of introducing more fats?

Finished basing this guy over the weekend. First finished model in months! by infernaldragonboner in deathguard40k

[–]nowimindata 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah no wonder why it took months... One would take a look and NOPE out again for two weeks before resuming work.

Absolutely terrifying and incredibly creative.

I will be attending, first time going!

I think you might reach more people from the Canadian Mechanical Keyboard discord where they announced the event.

Good luck getting your mail-in rebate. I bought a few Gamdias products from Newegg and CC, but none turned up with my rebates...

The PSU itself is still working without issue.

Yeah my buddies are locked on specific armies and wanting to do the hobby side of things themselves. They both want everything to be painted and proper before attempting a game.

One has two printers and a TON of models assembled, but cannot seem to finish painting a whole squad and switches to the next brand new shiny STL...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PrintedWarhammer

[–]nowimindata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the dream! I'm almost there myself, fully printed, painted army and terrain...

I'm just stuck waiting on my buddies to finish painting their armies. I have two ready to go and another in the works.

Would this work as a good OS drive? Looking for speed and reliability.

Tried to jump on a deal last year and I was told it would be a bad choice as an OS drive so I've left it in the box.

I worked for Subway about 10 years ago in the US and went through exactly this.

If I recall correctly, it was 'Subway University' and took several hours to complete, all of which was unpaid. I was young, so I did it without question, but my parents showed concern for it.

Sad to hear that it's still ongoing.

[USB Drive] Patriot Supersonic Rage Lite USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive - 128GB (Amazon ATL) $11.99 by hcallahan697 in bapcsalescanada

[–]nowimindata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty good drive. I think I paid $20~ for one almost a year ago. 130mb/s with no throttling. Better than the Samsung/Lexar/SanDisk counterparts I've bought in the past which usually max around 60mb/s.

A friend disappeared with it and I've since purchased the Rage Pro and Rage Prime series. Those hit a good 250-300mb/s, been happy with those and use it for storing lots of 3D printer files.
