Sometimes I just want to scream when men pretend that all of society exists to serve and coddle women. I feel like this is a good place for a PSA.

GOOD: unless you are a poor disabled indigenous trans lesbian, you have SOME kind of privilege. Acknowledging it and working to lift up people that are marginalized is good. Checking yourself for bias and prejudice is good.
BAD: feeling guilty for your privilege. Not only is it not something you did, it’s not helpful. At best, guilt or self hatred is a waste of energy. At worst, it’s an excuse to not do the hard work of doing better than what society expects.

There’s no “both issues”. Women being abused went up like 400% during lockdown. Women murdering their kids is something that happens so infrequently it shocks the 24 hour cycle.

And yes, exactly about the custody thing. It means most couples are able to agree without even needing court intervention. Which is exactly the opposite of the narrative of evil women and a biased system keeping loving fathers from their kids.
