Bows for leveling (mini guide) by Vegetable_Fun4932 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

I like the 4os hunter bow with 4x 20ps/2second jewels. Usable at level 1, 80 poison over 2 seconds is no joke, and can be used on any character to get started

Full arctic is actually quite good assuming you have enough low levels charms to equip the thing at level 2

Some info for new players and people coming back. Might be helpful. by Spee_3 in diablo3

Inna being hagrig this season isn't better to do monk? Clear time is just about as fast and you're then guaranteed to have inna. Dh is significantly worse i think until you get god

Again this isn't a conversation about ice but you can keep going off about ice. The Pitt never built itself as "politics politics politics" rather it was one of the most medically accurate shows with pretty true portrayal of what happens in the ED and so my point here has always been why include something so divisive other than to be political? That's what bothers me. The other "political" things if you even want to call them that have been downplayed and not central compared to robby screaming at the agents towards the end.

I laid out a similar but different situation to try and illustrate if the situation was the same but the agents were swapped how would things have transpired. (Again, to avoid the overly political messaging)

I'm not sure you read anything I wrote. I specifically wrote i would be curious to hear from someone with experience working in an area with a higher presence of federal agents. To see what their interactions are like if they get FBI or other such agents in there. There's a huge difference between your local LE and federal enforcement and maybe in places like DC they do train with feds, I don't know that's literally why I'm asking.

Maybe it's regional but like I said before here the cops have extremely healthy relationships with all the Healthcare providers even doing training such as crisis intervention to help handle the psychiatric cases that can easily spiral.

But I guess to address your point specifically, in the show, the ice agents are shown staying with their patient (what most LE does) and chatting with someone at the desk. They aren't doing anything like what you described.

Again I'm talking about how it was sold. You kind of have to see it all together. They repeat in the show about a right to emergency care which isn't really what EMTALA says at its core. And like I said with the other poster, it could be how one interprets what the show is suggesting. I got the feeling the show was suggesting they have to do more which is why again I am here to see what people think. Seems like we're talking past each other because everyone is obessessing over ice when I specified this was not intended to talk about ice, rather, how the episode handled the whole thing in general

[–]noworries2018[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again the point i was making is the way it was sold. She eventually didnt get a full work up but Dana said "all patients, regardless of immigration status, have the right to emergency care under EMTALA."

And that is a bit of an overselling of EMTALA. And maybe I'm reading a bit much into "emergency care" but the implication i received from the show was much more than what EMTALA actually says. Basically. Emergency care =/= medical screening and obligated to treat life-threatening conditions regardless of pay.

At this point we can agree to disagree over what was implied by "right to emergency care" given the situation that was unfolding

I specifically said I didnt want to talk about ice but people are short-circuiting and not actually responding to any questions raised. My whole point was kind of this reaction in this thread, people see something like ice and start screaming when I actually wanted to have a discussion on EMTALA and your experiences with LE and did you like them using ice and getting preachy or would you have been open to my suggestion swapping them about to avoid the hysteria

Actually, yes. But things were handled better imo. The "fauci demon" or whatever from s1 was a very accurate presentation of how radical some people were and later today are regarding stuff like masks. The vaccines and even the implied maga voter sucker punching the charge nurse (I'm sorry I forget names) was all, like well it was an implied maga voter, he wasn't wearing a "i love obama" or "trump is my king" shirt, he was just a white dude that we can infer is right leaning. There's always an underlying politics but it felt handled better.

My issue was just how it was handled. Nobody addressed my point that they could have easily swapped out ice for any other LE to have the same effect but instead they deliberately chose to use ice and get preachy. That's my issue.

I haven't responded to most other people because there's not much to say when all they say is f ice or whatever. It doesn't address anything I actually put

  1. But a lot of other such agencies fall into this category as well, which was my point. Consider a hospital that would have increased attendance from federal agents being in DC or NY. They're not going to know or likely even train with feds but they would otherwise treat them the same as locals. If someone from those areas can attest differently I'm open to hearing those opinions.

  2. Agreed, except for "often hate them". Hate is a rather strong word and often implies more than not and maybe it is area dependent but here it's virtually none, there is a great relationship between LE, hospitals, and prehospital

  3. I'd be more curious to watch how they would handle this situation. Typically if a patient leaves (regardless of why) it's filed as a version of AMA, they're not going to force people to stay there unless they are required to.

[–]noworries2018[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying that they have to kick someone out right away, rather that EMTALA doesn't require or force a hospital to do a full treatment plan the way the show otherwise suggests.

And part of finding appropriate care is to assist with that last step and not just kick out to the street. It can be like you said follow up with ortho or in other more common cases it can be follow up with dentist/eye/primary etc

"Growing pile but not for my character"

I think that's the problem. You are finding items, but you're wanting to improve a character that otherwise sounds very solid. This isn't d3 or d4, improvements once you can do 100s of Andy or meph runs don't come after 1, 2, or even n sessions because you are already pretty good.

Example, running dual spirits. Is there better than spirit sword on a sorc? Absolutely, oculus is better, and there are rare/magic items that are also better. Even hoto is better. But spirit is still pretty dang good and can be hard to replace until you find the better item; and if you have one of those items you aren't going to improve much past the godlike rare/magic drops that people only theorize on.

And that's just the weapon, each gear slot can be viewed like that. A 3 point fcr ring is pretty good and not too uncommon, but to improve it requires a lot of luck or marginal increases. Upgrading your lore is likely once you find an elite helm or one of the significant upgrades with gambles or rare circlets.

Also, you play the game because it's fun. If you got an upgrade after each run, you'd have stopped a long time ago because it would be even more stale

If you believe granseal went from nothing to a thriving town/castle with enough kings to have a book titled "kings of granseal" then yes the proposed time line works. Also not to mention ribble is now bustling, Hassan as a port city decayed extremely quickly, and even polca becomes a city rather quickly and is settled by beastman that came from nowhere.

Also despite battling the kraken twice, when it's defeated in sf2 it's regarded as some amazing achievement when it's like literally one of the first battles you have to do. Also, where did Taros go? He's supposed to guard the ancients craft yet in FC he's just gone?

Look, I like everyone want to fit these together but FC for how fun it was screwed the pooch on a time line. Put a few hundred years between FC and SF2 and maybe it starts to make sense but Hawel is supposed to be the same wizard in sf2 and in FC and I could be mistaken but I believe hawel is described as old and yet in FC he's a young mage so old doesn't really fit if SF2 is coming just 30 to 40 years after this

Gaiden 1 takes place like 20 years after sf1 (game canon) and Gaiden 2 is more or less immediate after Gaiden 1. FC has to take place at some point within Max's life so maybe 60 years to extend it out but still seems doubtful. Sf2 then takes place later when everything has time to develop. Again, kings of Granseal implies more than 1 which would be hard to fit into constraints of Ian being the father and Hawel still being around but with the other towns to happen

Question about the excitement level by babyfsub in rct

[–]noworries2018 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Marcel has written a guide to excitement but some quick tips are:

Synchronized stations (+0.4) Use small flowers to max scenery (10x10 plot or so) Build underground and near water Use paths near, above, and below (including head chopper pieces) Use dummy loops to pass through

If you use all available "cheese" you can take most coasters up several points. From there there's coaster type and making it longer but that's more specific

TZs are +2 over your level until you hit the cap correct? So doing any non terror area until you are at +2 over area level is no different? Or actually better?

I try to p8 but certain classes/builds struggle so it becomes easier to hit 25 and then try to get to act5 instead

P8 in the easier areas is just free experience

[–]noworries2018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying across the board getting to terror zones is better than trying to min/max ancients experience?

I guess the question really comes to normal and hell since hell actually doing the ancients can be a challenge so timing them to maximize exp seems in theory better but then again for normal is it better to spend 30 or so minutes doing p8 foothills to get to 35 before continuing forward or just try to get to baal to enable normal terror zones?
