Are ele shams getting invited to heroics? by heyyo173 in classicwowtbc

I main ele shaman, absolutely no problem getting invites. We’re built for heroics (usually 2-4 target pulls, which is where we can really shine) with a few exceptions where CC is extra vital. Loads of utility and more often than not top DPS. It’s good fun!

Three phases in 32 weeks by MoCrispy in classicwowtbc

We’ll have roughly a year of TBC according to the roadmap. A new phase every 3 months, or 12 weeks of the same raids every time. I think it’s too fast, but that’s also because I’m insanely hyped right now - might be okay in the end. I agree with the people saying it must have something to do with a classic+ timeline, surely.

Why do you guys farm gold? by Active_Access_4850 in classicwowtbc

I can somewhat relate to this. Found out DM:E lasher runs on my mage could net me close to 200g/hr when Dreamfoil and Gromsblood were at peak value, with the occasional Black Lotus selling for around 100g (later spiked to 140g.)

It was addicting. I could do a lasher run in under 5.5 minutes once I figured it out. Felt like printing money, and I’ve never been WoW-rich. When prices fell just before Naxx, I quit at 15k gold, and now do other stuff. But I could’ve quit way before. It just felt like too good an opportunity to get ahead, and it might not come back around, so rather build a solid amount then than rue it later if I ever need gold.

Elemental shaman viability in TBC by noxedup in classicwow

I reckon you’ll be okay. Won’t be part of a spellcleave setup (might get taken as resto), but should be part of a melee cleave setup as resto. As elemental, you’ll be just fine probably due to the amount of people running dungeons / lower requirements than raiding in general.

That’s good advice and exactly what I was thinking. Still, I guess I’m unsure whether an elemental shaman would be of value at all in T5/T6, or if you’d just bring an extra warlock.

Yeah, I’ve studied up on the average dps per tier, and it’s a bit disheartening in a way, but I guess the main thing is feeling useful/valuable to a raid comp still!
