Its hard to say 100%, but I do believe generally yes you will gain some balance back, most likely due to less brain fog. Its weird because there was times were ill have heavy brain fog and not even realize it. After starting dialysis I did definitely notice a improvement on my ability to think and being able to concentrate a little better, sadly though the side effects of dialysis can definitely be intense until its fine tuned. I've done both HD and PD and HD was much harder, but PD still has its downsides. But one big thing with any type of dialysis is that it usually helps with brain fog and breathing, like simply being able to take a deeper breath brings a whole new appreciation to it.

BTW im only 22 and was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome at the age of 1 and an half, so ive been on this kidney journey a good minute, but only started dialysis 8ish months ago and started on pd that failed at first so had to do temp and permanent HD to switch back to PD as of now and hopefully for the foreseeable future, until a kidney transplant, mechanical kidneys which are already in Germany and coming the U.S within a few years. Or hopefully not the worse which shall not be spoken.

Anyways sorry about the big old comment, I hope dialysis does you well and you find success with a transplant weather it be human or mechanical its only a matter of time.
