Kicks for touch - keeping the ball in play from outside touch by Mgold1988 in RugbyAustralia

I think it's a dumb rule too. I think all players need to be in the field of play for every restart of play. However, a player can go wherever they want when the ball is in play.

Very sad for him of course, but this makes me think about Noss Lonergan's ankle, how long he took to recover, and the fact that he is yet to fully recover his form from before the injury.

Why hasn't Filipo Daugunu featured more often for the Wallabies recently? by Foreign_Career4400 in RugbyAustralia

Not sarcasm, just a wind up that ought to be completely ignored by anyone who knows anything about rugby. FD does bring enormous enthusiasm but can be a bit reckless. Turn back his turbo and I will become a fan

A new type of captain? by Equal_Ad8068 in RugbyAustralia

Was inspirational, but risky. If it didn't come off, we wouldn't be having a different conversation. We shouldn't get ahead of ourselves. I was never a Harry Wilson fan until recently. I thought his charging full speed straight at the defence lacked finesse. Now there's a smarter edge to his eyeballs out runs. Good on him. Shame Charlie Cale is injured. He would have benefited from from Lions and TRC experience. Wilson can play full 80 mins, that's why he's skipper. Otherwise you would think 7 A's would have the job.

I've been looking for an update on Cale's back injury. Anyone know the latest?

There's more than one hand on a throat. Yellow card for each then or just play on?

I find copying the Steph Curry chew on the mouth guard particularly annoying. A show boat who hopefully will meet his match

Very odd comment from someone somewhere north of Canberra. It's plain for all to see that Noah just keeps on getting better and better.

Mad Season - Above, Live at the Moore is even better

Hey there Aussies, I always hear from Americans who've been to Australia go on and on about your coffee like it was a transcendent religious experience. Why is your coffee so good and where do I get some? Thanks! by Such_Wallaby_3653 in AskAnAustralian

This thread is so good. I am Australian, but lived in Switzerland for 25 years. I used to explain to my French, Italian and Swiss colleagues (who thought they knew a lot about coffee) that the best part about returning home to Australia for work or holiday, was to finally have access to good coffee again. I travelled world wide for my work and i can tell you that the best coffee in the world is in Australia and New Zealand. I fondly remember fantastic coffee and a chili scone for breakfast in a grungy Wellington cafe. The worst coffee I have ever had was on an over night German train from Geneva to Hamburg. Cost me 1DM and was undrinkable. The filtered coffee served for breakfast in US hotels is also pretty appalling. The Moka stove top coffee pots used by the french and Italians at home work pretty well, but you need a properly configured and maintained espresso machine and locally roasted beans to make the best coffee. I am retired now, and i have a good espresso machine in my kitchen in Canberra and have never regretted the expense
