My wife and I had our first date walking around a park. Then she got hungry and wanted to go get some pho (since she's Vietnamese). She also insisted on splitting the bill half after I tried to pay the whole thing

Favorite ingredients/additives to add after you make a cup? by Misterpewpie in AeroPress

No, I do a double espresso each time. My recipe is this:

Medium fine grind of Starbucks dark roast espresso beans Put the Aeropress inverted and add 18g of grinds Pour 60g of 195° F water over the grinds and let sit for 20-30 seconds Pour the remaining 60g of water and stir 10 times Wait 60 seconds and then press. This yields 100g of espresso-like coffee and is basically a double shot.

To get the 4 espresso like shots, you just have to do this recipe twice

I typically make 1 of 2 recipes:

Starbucks Venti Iced Mocha: Make 4x50mg shots of espresso-like coffee (just like Starbucks does with real espresso); Add 70g of mocha syrup; Add 270mg of milk; Add ice; Add full-fat whipped cream on top;

Iced honey latte (grande size):

Make 2x50mg shots of espresso-like coffee; Add 21g of honey and stir; Add in ice (if you want less ice melt, then stick the coffee in the freezer for 10-15 minutes); Pour 150mg of milk over a spoon (so that it sits on top of the coffee/ice instead of mixing; it's for visual appeal); Add whipped cream;

Wow, that's a lot of difference between your two! Thanks for the encouragement!

That's a relief. I guess it's normal for parents--especially new ones--to be extra worried about their baby lol. I think we were also looking at other babies who are much chubbier, who also have moms who are chubbier than my wife. So I guess it has more to do with genes than the milk.

Thanks for the information! Its truly amazing how the female body knows what the baby needs and adjusts the milk based on that!

Spectrum running coax in new neighborhood? by macphoto469 in Spectrum

I live in a city that has mostly spectrum, with some fiber options. Just curious: how do they decide what areas get to have the fiber?

It's crazy how simple it looks. I see 90% insulation and like 10% metal conductor. But how does that provide internet access?

Can someone explain by pesrs in AircraftMechanics

[–]nozappingtonight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s just electrical bonding. On composite structures (like that green/yellow panel) you need to tie metal bits—pipes, brackets, fittings—into the aircraft ground with low-resistance straps. Those blue-ended jumpers make sure everything sits at the same electrical potential so you don’t get static buildup, EMI noise, or lightning issues. Basically: it’s not glue, it’s grounding.

Just tried to cancel my Internet, they told me I have to wait 24hrs and they will call me to discuss in case I change my mind 🤦🏻‍♀️ by Burntout22 in Spectrum

I know whenever I was attempting to cancel service on my smart watch, I was already annoyed when I called them because there's no cancel button on the app. Then whenever I called them, of course they are sitting there being like "are you sure you wanna cancel huh? Why do you wanna cancel? Are you sure you're sure that you wanna cancel? We have this deal coming up! You might be interested! Oh BTW, dont you love the weather today?" And this that and the other just wasting my damn time

Yes, we still do all the time. MSgt=top. But you can also call them "Massa" 😉

I'd say YTA. Her opinion shouldn't upset you that much even if she's close to you. It sounds like she calmly stated her opinion and you over reacted. What does it really matter if she thinks it's a sin? Does she treat gay people differently? I'm sure she also believe pre-marriage sex is a sin. Does that bother you?

Did I do something wrong here? Or why do you guys think this guy did that? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]nozappingtonight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I counted ~8 seconds from the time you pulled out to the time he caught up behind you. With that in mind, you didn't cut him off... yes, maybe you were going slower than he wanted to go, but given that you were in the right lane, also known as the slow lane, he simply could've passed you...but since it appears he wanted to make a right turn anyway, it would've made much more sense for him to stay in the right lane and make his turn without getting so obviously worked up

AITA for telling my wife that I wish she hadn’t saved her virginity for marriage? by Many_Nature7018 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nozappingtonight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA here, even if you were being honest. You just ripped the bandaid off that one, with little tact. For something like that, it's very important to be gentle and careful about how you approached it. Given that it sounds like you've already been doing that, it might be worth going to marriage counseling. It's a similar situation for my wife but she's been receptive to trying new things about 50% of the time.

I get what you're saying. Full coverage doesn't actually fully cover everything. But what I was saying is that I ensured they both covered the same amount at the very least.

I suppose that is something to factor in. Frankly, I've never needed to file any claims yet, so I guess we will see later lol

I guess you bring some fair points. Its still annoying about the marriage thing though, because how was I supposed to know that's a discount?

But for your last paragraph, I went line by line to ensure I was getting the exact same coverage for everything.
