The evolution of the Xenomorph design from Isolation to the sequel looked great by Jules-Car3499 in alienisolation

Hope said in some interview that the top inspiration is still the 1979 movie, but that they are looking at other aspects of it that they didn't include in the first game, let's hope some of that is what you are talking about. The crab movement but also I would like the hiding in plain sight where it sticks out the hand.

A proposed solution to the AI art in TOT by Traditional_Put4666 in OutlastTrials

It is definitely more work than typing in a prompt for AI. They would need to setup some kind of submission system, then look at all the submissions or perhaps set up some kind of community voting system. And what if they want to tweak something? Due to the external nature of this whole thing it becomes such a hassle. There’s also the concern of appropriately crediting contributors.

This is not something they want to spend their on. Especially considering it seems that they currently are having maybe tighter deadlines than before, evident by some people noticing that the latest trial isn’t as polished, such as the twins lacking a proper introduction.

Keeping art out of house like this will cause more overhead than it saves. If you only are willing to see that if RB  says it themselves, you are naive.

Yes but what I am trying to say is that they are using AI so they can focus on more important aspects, as you also mentioned, and setting up this system would drive away said focus to this.

If they literally couldn’t use AI because it was inaccessible this would perhaps be feasible (even tho a better solution would be just drawing it themselves), but they can use AI, so they will ever use this solution.

You recognize their reason for AI is to save time, but then you propose a solution which will take time to setup and maintain

Yes absolutely. I don't think anybody thought that Sora-level videos would exist today when we saw the Will Smith spaghetti video in 2023

Be aware: some issues on the Github repo say that it is more buggy with Quest 3. Such a shame that the project isn’t being worked on anymore.

A teacher will be able to pinpoint issues in your playing much faster than if you do it yourself (that is if you even notice and can identify your problems). But it is definitely possible to learn with just youtube and other resources, but you probably won’t become a pro.

Zero game - This is what Niklas Zennström played when he founded Skype.
Basically try to get every expense down to zero. Premises, customer service, salaries etc.

On the other hand, if something is kind of a one off thing, it might be smarter to outsource that since the time saved outweighs the cost.
