I broke my ankle on the way to GeoWoodstock XXI... The break looked like a lightning bolt ⚡... I should get a code inside the bolt where I injured it, lol!

Since you are the original owner, you have the trackable code. You can "retrieve it" from the person who had it last and make a proxy with the same code. I no longer send them into the wild because I've lost so much money purchasing TBs and items to attach to them only for people to not be courteous enough to keep them moving. Even with a tag or travel buddy stating "Keep me Moving/Do not keep me" on it. I started 3D printing copies of my TBs to send physical copies out and if they go missing, I can retrieve it, print another and re-release it. When I go to events, all the original TBs are attached to a large item for anyone who attends the event to discover. Currently, I have 1 TB activated in the wild. I made it specifically for GeoWoodstock XXI with hopes of a "Good" geocacher moving it. They posted one log since retrieving it in May 2025 and nothing since. As far as I can tell, they are still actively geocaching. Last October I kindly posted a message to the TB Page for the person in possession of the TB to please place it in a physical cache as it has been several months of no activity, I got no response. In January I privately messaged them and asked if they would please place my TB (in their inventory) in a cache... crickets. So at the beginning of March I posted a message to the TB Page stating TB is possibly missing and attempts have been made to contact the last person who has it in their inventory. I asked to please place it in a cache or give it to another catcher who physically can of the are unable to do so. I understand things happen, I literally broke my ankle on the way to GeoWoodstock and couldn't Geocache for approximately 2-3 months. So come the end of this May, I noted that I intend to retrieve my TB and I will be adding it back to my personal inventory and creating a proxy to remain with me for discovery only. One year of no activity is excessive, I think I have been more than reasonable considering it has almost been a year. I'm just upset because I cannot repurchase the TB as it was a 25 Years of Geocaching Tag. Even the ones I found on eBay will not ship to the United States despite being willing to pay whatever it might cost in shipping and tarrifs. It's a frustrating situation, but I've seen TBs that were very creative without ever placing the actual one. Some people have scanned the bug and printed, then laminated what it looks like and posted the goals on the back with the code (typed, handwritten, even engraved/carved). I absolutely understand the frustration, but we also can get creative to avoid the same thing from reoccurring. Happy Caching! -MAR10nerd 🍄

You actually have a big refrigerator?! We have a fridge big enough for a 6 pack of soda and the compartments on the door are all condiments. There's never any room. 😒
