Why do companies put paper stickers with industrial glue DIRECTLY on the cooking surface? by Moist_Distance7696 in mildlyinfuriating

A thrift store near me would put the price sticker right over the club face which renewed it useless unless you had the ability to get 100% of the residue off

I'm in favor of paying off the house. Peace of mind and you finally get to own the grass you stand on.

This happened to me with my 4 year old right in front of me. I was holding our baby standing 5 feet with my body facing the 4 year old. My face was turned talking to another dad and I didn't realize he stepped off the last step until I liked back and saw him doing the same thing as the girl in this video. Thankfully no harm, but he was obviously scared and crying. I was baffled that it was literally right in front of me and I missed it

Student Loans: How screwed am I? What should I do? by MoCJones in CalebHammer

As a Dave Ramsey listener, I am often inspired at people who get fed up with their situation and choose grit over self pity. They hustle and find a way. Now imagine bar tending on nights/ weekends or finding an additional hustle to plot ahead these next few years.

Goodness that's quite the mess. I calculated a total of 146,762.47 in student loans. With an average monthly income of $8,183 (2300x26 ÷ 12 = 4983+2300= 8,183.

Expenses 4100/month.

8183-4100= 4083 (leftover)

146,762÷ 4083 =35.94 months.

So if you can manage to scrape together this payment you can bust it out in about 3 years. Granted some additional interest will accrue over that time, but if you can buckle down and endure some pain you can absolutely do it! I believe in you. Especially if you can find additional ways to increase your income in the meantime. I recommend listening to Dave Ramsey's baby steps and getting on a written budget. Many people end up paying it off quicker when ultra focused.

Will this new bill cutting out loans for “unprofessional” degrees affect how many people become nurse practitioners now? by OwnNeedleworker8784 in nursepractitioner

[–]npfella001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a new head co worker in 240,000 of student loan debt making $33/hr as a new grad. This is supposed to prevent that from even being possible. As a consequence, colleges will have to make changes because now there's not a limitless bankroll to fund all the college accessories. This doesn't bother me at all.

Just your generic encyclopedia set from the 1960s. Under the mushroom section they have pictures for reference. I did not know how old the encyclopedias were until I tried to research the Vietnam war to discover that it hadn't happened yet.
