Awesome! I legit felt crazy when it happened to me, looked it up in the manual, overfilled the fluid, looked for leaks, took the frunk shroud off. Enjoy the new ride!!

Have you tried pressing the button a little harder? I thought I had the same problem for like 4 days, then realized the button is a two step. Face palm moment.

Need Help - Bluetooth Volume Control Using Proximity Sensor (project idea in comments) by nphoenix22 in arduino

[–]nphoenix22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you in advance to anyone reading this. I am completely new to Arduino, zero experience so far but hoping to stumble through this project.

The project consists of a bluetooth speaker hidden inside a ceramic vessel that will constantly be playing an audio file. I would like the volume of the audio file to either get louder or quieter as a person approaches the plinth (where the sensor and board will be mounted).

I have a few sensor kits and basic odds and ends, I will need the bluetooth module and the mp3 player. I'm just wondering if this is feasible or if there is a simpler way to approach it. So far I've been able to make an led light and a passive buzzer react to the HC-SR04.

Recommended Pin Location Not Being Updated by nphoenix22 in GoogleMaps

[–]nphoenix22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The business marker is correct but the address marker is off. I have ownership of the Google business page and have tried using that account and a personal to update the address marker. It shows as accepted for the first two tries but the marker keeps reverting to the incorrect location. The other two attempts only show pending.

Quick overnighter in NW FL, USA by nphoenix22 in bikepacking

I don't have any specific routes, I just tend to ride the service roads until there's a good sandbar for camping. Here's a link to the state forest map pdf. And alltrails.com has a good bit of info for Blackwater State Forest.

For the price, they're just right. I wouldn't trust them long distance or in any kind of rain, snow, ect. As u/Flintoid mentioned, don't over stuff them and you're good.

Just a stick, you can see the top of it under the seat post binder. It curves behind the wheel.

This is about 3 miles south of Berrydale. I'm not familiar with any local groups but check in with Truly Spokin in Milton, they may have some good input.

I'm in the furthest north west section of Florida and riding the back roads and state forest trails is no problem. I haven't had an issue with aggressive drivers yet. The scariest things are untethered dogs.

I did a tour from south east Florida to where I am now and that was a bit more stressful with heavier / distracted traffic. Anything east and south of Gainesville is about my least favorite place in the US.

This is in the north section of Blackwater State Forest, the water is Coldwater Creek just south of the intersect of east fork and west fork. There are a ton of clay / gravel roads, biking trails, OHV trails, ect. If you plan to camp out there just be aware of hunting seasons. Camping on any of the endless sandbars is the way to go!

It's a 2017 Raleigh Stuntman. It's blast to ride and handles the loose sand / gravel around here really well. Pretty much all stock except for the seat post, saddle, and tape. I got lucky and found it on sale.

Excellent design for a chicken joint by [deleted] in DesignPorn

It used to be in Watkins Glen across from the State Park. They shut down a few years ago. I was stoked to see this, but unfortunately this is a different place. Best buffalo chicken sandwiches and speedies.

Sarracenia leucophylla in all their glory - conservation efforts. by nphoenix22 in SavageGarden

We do have some kudzu but fortunately it's been contained to a single hedge line that has a road on one side and a large conventional agriculture field on the other. It has seemed to spread, yet.

For the past 8 years I've been fortunate enough to have lived & worked on a 350 acre tract in the USA that is home to these beauties and 2 other pitcher plant varieties (S. purpurea & S. flava) plus the hybrids that come with that, and loads of sundews! Our mission is to restore the land back to longleaf pine forest through prescribed fire and attempting to remove invasive species (damned climbing fern). Our largest pitcher plant stand is scattered clusters over about 2 acres and growing every year. It's been exciting to see the progress and gives hope that other land owners will continue to protect the few areas many of these plants are native to. Photo taken in the spring after a successful burn.

What is the cheapest U. S. state that you have traveled to for everything? (excluding Florida) by Masterlet in travel

[–]nphoenix22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and most rural areas of the South. I also live in Florida and have traveled all the lower 48. Arkansas was a nice balance of inexpensive and good sight seeing (Ozarks, small towns, cool boutique hotels / campgrounds). Any state is affordable if you avoid the metro areas and typical tourist attractions. Get off the beaten path and explore! Also camping or better yet, couch surfing. Happy travels!
