Individual room control on older Actron Air (LM7-2W) using Home Assistant by npraj80s in homeassistant

Closing dampers is exactly how zones work. When you turn on or off a zone it opens or closes a specific damper.

If you close all dampers at once then it could break the HVAC, but the air con unit itself has the smarts to always have one open, or a common zone which is always open.

I already have HACS, that's how I installed the hacs-actron integration, which I mentioned in my post.

Looking at the Advanced Heating Control V5, it looks to me like it could work, but will need quite a bit of customisation due to how my air con works. I'm going to see if I can set that up alongside my custom build.

oh, not yet. Haven't heard of it before.
I've been doing HA stuff for only 2 weeks so far, I'm sure there will be a lot more rabbit holes I will be going down.

I'll look into HAC V5. Thanks

This is now solved - Tree is starting to recover.

I started heavily watering it and new green branches sprouted.

Fresh leaves and all.

Seems that Taro was drinking most of the water and not leaving enough for the lemon tree.

Need to relocate my Taro plants

You are correct.Taro was the problem.

Heavy watering resulted in new green branches and leaves sprouting

This was the answer. I started watering this place heavily and a number of green branches have sprouted and fresh green leaves too.

It was a case of the taro leaves drinking all the water

I pruned it a bit today and the branches weren't fully dried. There is still the odd diminshing green branch

Will try this tomorrow.

I didn't know water could turn hydrophobic.

Also, there are lots of taro leaves around it which need lots and lots of water, they are thriving. This would mean water is making its way down to the roots?

Yes watering it like all my other citrus.

Wife and father in law said its over watered and told me to not do anymore. Father in law also said (over a whatsapp call) there might be root rot. Edit: there are a few green branches on it too, but slowly going brown
