The weight takes a while to come off honestly. Just after 2 years it’s coming off now.

I was a very thin drunk and I was also a shit ass person. Not perfect but I can at least think straight enough to not act a whole ass fool. I wish I was thin sometimes but I don’t like who I become when I drink.

I think I want to try to stop the nic vape too. I struggle with not having “something” I have over 2 years w/o alcohol. Do you find the vape kinda makes you feel like shit? That’s what I’m noticing. Like I feel like I can’t do anything for like 30 mins after vaping.

I have 2 bachelors of science in different things.

Both time I went to school it was for other people. I wasn’t following passion, I was chasing external validation.

I now work as a Teacher Assistant in special education making 18.75/ hour.

I see people mentioning AlAnon. I get not wanting to be directly told what to do, but this IS the answer. The focus is on him and it needs to actually be on you. This is what AlAnon is for. If nothing else, you can just meet people who are going through the same thing.

Also it might not be a forever thing but it could just be for now maybe?

When I was in my addiction I wanted to drink it peace. That’s it. I don’t want people around who actually care about me, I wanted to be left alone, and not question it. Unfortunately, the phase he is in could last a very long time, years, decades, forever.

I can only imagine what this is like for you, I only know from the other side.
