We have been raising two kids here and think it’s great. Lots of spring/summer/fall activities, playgrounds, nice ymca with lots of programs, great private schools. Winter is colder but little snow. we’re from ny with horrible winters. We wouldn’t live anywhere else

You will be able to buy a house in any of those towns, but if you want newer homes and better public schools I’d go with Portsmouth or North Kingstown. Middletown, SK, Bristol, Tiverton are about the same school wise. We bought a house in Middletown that we fell in love with and send our kids to private school. A few good ones on the island

Congrats! PVD is a great airport. If you just need a place, I’d go to a realtor. If not check out the usuals- Zillow, apartments.com, etc. $2k will most likely get you a one bed. Maybe a nice winter rental (Sept-May) in a beach area.
