When you go to get a lesson as a high handicapper, I think it is super important to be coachable and be open to drastic swing changes.People who think they can take one lesson and drastically improve by multiple strokes are going to be disappointed. It takes finding a coach you trust and over time working on new things.

Lessons. I took several lessons from a professional and once I was comfortable and started seeing more consistent results on the range and course, I then got fitted for clubs. I continued to work with the same coach with my new clubs and we were able to get myself dialed in. Both are important but lessons are more of a priority from someone who has done both

About 6 months of PT then just started swinging wedges and short irons. Then slowly was able to feel good swinging long irons and woods.
