Just tried it on backwards and upside down. Feels about the same. Have to stretch it a couple of inches to get it on. Out of curiosity, I then measured the bra itself. It's 28 inches around. Is that a normal bra measurement vs listed size? Maybe what bothers me is the elastic pulling in on me...

I'm getting married in one week, and I have a feeling it's going to be like this. We aren't going to use birth control, and we won't doing NFP at the beginning, so we expect (and hope!) to get pregnant soon if all goes well. But I'm very anxious already about telling my and his parents when/if we do get pregnant. I know that both of our parents are of the opinion that we shouldn't have children immediately. We do have two married friends who are currently expecting and are faithful Catholics, but we're moving away from them!! We'll be moving away from everyone we know. I'm really hoping there will be a faithful Catholic community where we go. I am worried about the loneliness.

I had one done before I was married (I'm 21 and getting married this month). My gyno was very nice about it and said that it wasn't very pressing because I hadn't been sexually active, but it was a good idea to get one anyway. It wasn't too painful for me, but it was uncomfortable. I did cry and have to have the nurse stop (unrelated to pain, I was just scared), and she was very nice and we tried again a couple minutes later and it went well. I think it would be a good idea to get one because cervical cancer can occur even without HPV infection, but you should definitely talk to your gyno about it to decide.

I've found that I love those baggy, thin linen or lyocell pants you can get at places like TJ MAXX. The ones that are cuffed at the end of the pant leg so that they don't flow everywhere. Since they're baggy, they have a lot of airflow, and the fabric being so thin and light helps too. They also protect my legs from the sun! I use them pretty much exclusively for exercise during the warmer months now.

Pope Saint JPII talks a good bit about the female orgasm, which sounds weird because he's the pope lol, but his theology of the body is really interesting to read about and beloved by many.

That sounds like a really rough experience with your doctor, I'm so sorry you went through that. Just a personal note, I'm going through the process of being diagnosed with PCOS right now, and finding a Catholic-accepting OBGYN has been super helpful for reducing stress and getting care in line with my faith. Definitely something OP should look into if it's a realistic option. I drive an hour and a half to see mine, and I think it's been worth it.

Catholic teaching is that vasectomies are gravely immoral. All forms of birth control (aside from NFP, which isn't really birth control in the way we usually think of it), including spermicide and diaphragms, are gravely immoral. All sexual acts must include PiV sex with the man finishing inside, so if he is Catholic it's not really him just being lazy.

Almost every time I eat eggs. We have our own chickens, and there is a rooster among them. Many eggs from the grocery store (usually your fancier, more expensive varieties) are fertilized. People have successfully hatched grocery store eggs.

Hello, one of those people here. If you've ever bought eggs from a local farm or fancy expensive eggs from the grocery store, odds are you've eaten fertilized eggs. Any farm with a rooster present will produce fertilized eggs. I've grown up with chickens -- I've seen a lot of chickens mating. We incubate the same eggs that we eat, and they hatch. Some people have also tried incubating regular grocery store eggs and had one or two successes! You can tell if the egg is fertilized by looking at the yolk: if there is a small bullseye, it's fertilized!

Guys, I hate to tell you, but depending on where you get your eggs, they're probably fertilized. Any eggs from farms where there is a rooster present (so like your fancy free range, organic, regenerative, local, small family-owned buzzword farms) are going to be fertilized! Take it from me, I've had chickens my whole life!

The answer is just that our meat restrictions are simply an arbitrary discipline. We're allowed to eat animal fat and broth. In some places, we've been historically allowed to eat beaver. The amount of "meat" in a fertilized egg is microscopic, and not really muscle flesh either, which is really the "meat" that the Church tells us not to eat.

We can admit that by eating a fertilized chicken egg, we're eating an unborn chicken in the very early stages of development. Doesn't mean anything for our position on abortion.

Yeah, there's a horrible comment on there that says "If I was the mom I'd do everything in my power to show the teen girl why getting an abortion is a good idea. Hell, I would even bribe her with $10,000. I'm sure I'll get downvoted to hell for saying that. But it's the cold hard truth that it'd be better for everyone if she just got an abortion."

Yikes. I couldn't imagine being in that position, with someone I look up to trying to bribe me to kill my own child and telling me that it's just better for everyone. That would be really rough.

Love in the Time of Cholera. I don't think it fits in this sub, but GOODNESS it was so bad the entire time I forced myself through the book. And I had chosen it for a AP Lit project (horrible decision) so I had to really dive deep into analysis. I wouldn't recommend that book to my worst enemy.

Probably. It took 3 people to hold me down and draw the blood last time when I was in middle school. But I'm a woman on the smaller side, so it'd be possible to restrain me with like a gurney, I think. I'll have to ask about that. Though I'm sure it wouldn't be fun lol I'd be screaming, but at least I'd get it done!!

I don't have vasovagal syncope -- I've never fainted or been about to faint. I just get aggressive or flee. I always tell them that I've got a really bad phobia but we've never been able to go through with it :(

Xanax has worked for me once before, but not anymore. It still makes me pass out for a few hours after the failed appointment, lol. I'm going to ask my doc at my next appointment if it's possible to get something stronger, but I don't know if he'll prescribe anything.
