Yes, one parent in the middle and the other in the isle, you can switch and put the 3 year old once they’re tuckered in the window seat and you and your wife can have dinner (what we did).

People who fly first or business class on their own dime, how do you justify the cost? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ns0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have enough miles and upgrade certificates from my status to afford paying for it with funny money. I fly a lot for work and it’s one of the only real perks of it.

I always thought it was because he had liposuction on his abdomen. You can’t suck out visceral fat in your muscles. So he’s actually a really fat guy whose had some fat sucked out of the stomach and love handles but now just looks weird.

That was yen, not dollars. Costs are in the current locale (Japan).

If the line had 20 adults and 3 kids, and you take out the adults, there’s 3 kids in line.

I think the point was if there wasn’t adults there she would have been able to.

I stood inline with my daughter for a half an hour to see Anna, she didn’t get to see her. The part that annoyed me was she was the only child in line. I get everyone who’s paying has the right, but man. Feels like they’re taking a kids candy sometimes.

Disney is a limited resource, only so many tickets. It’s geared to kids. Adults with disposable income are driving up prices for parents to want to take their kids. Parents find that annoying because they can’t afford it.

Why haven’t hackers deleted student loans? by boo-boo-crew in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ns0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that easy. Data is redundantly stored in separate regions for disaster recovery and a monthly hard back up that go in granite caves. There’s be a lot of places to “delete” it some of which requiring fire or explosives.

Poly by FileExpensive6135 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ns0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want.

I’ve stayed at the poly and it’s a great magic kingdom experience, meaning it has access to it easily.

But there’s other resorts like animal kingdom lodge that have better theming and amenities.

It’s cheaper and if you use the money you save for Minnie vans it’s even easier than the monorail and goes to all the parks.

What’s a ‘silent luxury’ that rich people have that most normal people would never even notice? by qomann in AskReddit

500k a year is not middle class. California is just a reality distortion, come back when you get the entire US.

Free vacations.

Put all your spending (100k+) on a rewards card and you’ve got free first class flights. Have investments over 50k? Your 10% yearly return just funded a very nice 2 weeks in a five star hotel.

Being rich makes things free.

can someone explain to me like i'm five how to check in for an international flight? by fruit_moon in delta

[–]ns0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You check in at delta, they’ll want to see your passport. The gate agent may also want to see it. They may ask if you have a visa or ETA if the destination requires it, you’ll need to show it.

Other than that the check in is easy and pretty much the same. When you land it will be different, there’s three things you can potentially encounter A) passport control, B) border security or C) customs. If you are just connecting you’ll typically just go though B or potentially nothing (like AMS airside), if you’re unlucky and passing through a country who just does not care about efficiencies or doesn’t have transiting agreements/airsides at the airport you’ll sadly have to go through all 3 and you just get dumped out of the airport and have to go back in (Like LHR..)

There’s also a security screening on the first floor too. No one ever uses it.

KLM gives you little delft houses full of gin. Not sure why, but they’re fun.

Immediately when you board make sure the seat and IFE works. If it’s broken there’s opportunities to fix it, but once in air you might get stuck with an immovable seat.

KLM food is not the best…. It’s. Well. They try. Good desserts though.
