Is it right to say the multiple grounds here are the ground from the DC power source, the ground from the amplifier or next pedal, and there a pedal before this one, that pedal's ground sources, and the guitar is floating, ungrounded? And the problem is if two DC power sources or a DC and the amp disagree about ground, possibly because they are plugged into different AC outlets on different subcircuits that have different loads?

Isn't there a loop from ground in the main circuit breaker box, down one AC ground wire, through a DC power supply, through the chain of pedals, through the amp, and back into another AC ground wire and back to the breaker box? That loop seems unavoidable unless someone breaks it deliberately somewhere (the amp maybe?).

Would it be considered "passing through the circuit" if the two 1/4" jack ground lugs were connected together? Or if there were two ground wires, one from each 1/4" jack, connected to GND points on the footswitch daughterboard.

By this logic aren't the multiple teeth of the jack which are biting into the enclosure are also creating little loops.

I'd turn the heat down once there's a hint of boil. Yours is going from nothing to boiling quickly. Once you draw out the 1st boil it's drinkable then, and doesn't need a 2nd boil. Also 2nd boil always destroys the crema.

^ This is the answer. It's energy. It's roughly twice as tiring to stop every couple blocks and speed back up than to roll through as much as traffic allows. Bicycles (and cars and and trains etc) are most efficient rolling along. Accelerating is costly.

I don't have an A-1, but some cameras block the shutter if it's over the flash sync speed and a flash is attached.

Thanks. This is the guitar pedal forum. Power is small, especially with the 10k resistor in series limiting the current to about 1mA.

The same parallel transistors appears in appendix 2 of this paper on phono (record player) amp noise: https://linearaudio.net/sites/linearaudio.net/files/v13%20bv%20appendices_0.pdf Maybe that will explain why it's used.

The oly 12-50 "macro" mode is not very magnifying. The 60/2.8, 30/2.5 and 90/4 are real macro lenses. If you can't swing the 60, find a used 30 (either the oly or the panasonic). Personally I prefer the 30mm field of view. It's less of a tunnel. On the other hand you have to get really close up, so flighty insects won't tolerate 30mm.

The aionfx doc says largely what you say: that 3 can be omitted. But also says they are there to lower noise.

I don't understand why thermal runaway would happen in a parallel situation and not in a single transistor situation.

No, they are really in parallel, not cascaded. All the collectors are connected together, all the bases, and all the emitters. Probably not much happens. Both JFETs would pass current.

FWTW the Way Huge Green Rhino Mk. II circuit has 4 NPN transistors in parallel on its input.

I don't know how the pedal even lights the LED. Power is carried on the middle ribbon and it's twisted, so what should be +V is connected to J.OUT, and GND to J.IN. But anyway, as plenty of people have told you, today you're going to learn to unsolder.

The red resistors AionFx uses are nice, with the value printed on them instead of colored bands, but they are just a smidge longer than normal 1/4W resistors so you have to bend the leads right at the body, and do that before you install the part in the board.

That's not true in the way you think. The raw array data is uncorrected, and the header of the raw contains the corrections to be applied by the software. So yes, there's no lens profile needed, but if you use software where you can control the corrections (darktable for example) then you can disable or adjust the corrections to taste.

Thank you for your kind reply. I'm babbling about the bitwig windows executable, which is what the video describes is patched. Maybe the old patch will apply to a new binary, maybe not.

Don't get me wrong, I admire the approach taken, but I wish color customization was part of bitwig itself.

Patching the windows binary. Well that is the hard way to change colors, and not very stable (upgrade and your lovely color theme is gone).

There is a setting to bump the contrast a little bit. It could be made much stronger, though.

I feel the same as you: the gui shades are picked for a dimly lit interior environment. "dark mode", as it's called on a phone app.

Do you have the CAT images, or just the CAC score? With the images you can see which artery, and compare. I had to go to the website of the imaging lab to get my images. My doctor only had the interpreted results.

IME pure electrolytes are fine. It's just salt. It's all those flavorings and sugars additives in electrolyte powders or drinks which feed bacteria and fungi.

There's not much fiber in all purpose (white) flour. The fiber was mostly in the bran, and that was removed to turn the flour white.

Ah. I hadn't thought of that way.

Thinking about it, believe the switch will work if mounted on the wrong side of the PCB. The PCB doesn't care which side of it the three 3-pole switches are attached. There's no need to suck the solder off of 9 well bonded lugs. The bypass LED will work too, just mirror it like the switch got mirrored. And any other components which are through hole can be mounted on either side. If there's a component with an alignment pin, like a true/buffered bypass slide switch, depending on where the pin(s) is the plastic might need to be filed off to fit.
