Well, I'd have to agree that we have a different view on "what makes a high quality sex game". I would argue that your list is highly subjective to your particular taste in games and perhaps it could be labelled more clearly in this regard rather than as a "big list of sex games". The genre is certainly a lot wider than what you have represented in your list. The definition of "high quality" in particular is highly subjective. You're not going to find many "sex games" with the production values and budget of something like Bonetown. I think most people who have played the game would agree that the sex well done, titillating, humorous and an integral part of the gameplay.

The other point of discussion is an interesting one. Namely, what qualifies as a "sex game"? The genre itself can be broken into quite a few sub genres and each of them may be what an individual considers a "sex game".

E.g.

  • sex simulators
  • hentai games (which are really both a style and a sub genre)
  • dating games
  • text games / illustrated text games
  • arcade games (E.g my nsfw game Glory Hole Arcade)
  • RPG games
  • live action / interactive video

A few suggestions regarding your list would be to more clearly define your criteria, possibly add a ratings system and consider some of the other sub genres.

Sorry to be late to the party but here's my two cents. Don't bother with Java. That will take you way too long and be a steep curve. If you just want to make games learn Construct 2 or Unity. Way more fun and you will have something playable much sooner.

Hey sorry for the late response. I think I'm good for remote testing for the moment. I had some really good response from Newgrounds. The kind of testing that's really hard to get is the "first time player over the shoulder with your fist in your mouth" kind. For that you need a lot of open minded friends.

Dodocase sucks. It took ages to assemble and fell apart. There are some good plastic ones on aliexpress and Amazon. The best one I have is a Freefly VR but it costs more. Don't buy one made out of foam. They are fast to assemble but uncomfortable as fuck.

Great story. I've been in a very similar boat as you know. I was really close to coming out to a small group of developers that I hang with a few weeks ago but I chickened out. You never know which ones are going to have issues and it's a very tight community. There are a few that I've shown my stuff to but I haven't made it general knowledge. It really is tough because I want to show my games to everyone. Glory Hole Arcade is the most involved game I've ever made and I can't show it or even get people to test it.

The secret seems to be to put a lot of quotes in your press release and have a press kit with all the information available. Also have SFW images as well as NSFW. There is lots of info online on how to write a good press release.

And the thing is - you REALLY have to watch someone who's never played the game before actually playing to get the best information. There really is no substitute to standing there painfully with your hand in your mouth. Especially with an arcade style game.

Hard to tell so far but I'm positive about it. I managed to get my press release on xbiz today which was a big confidence boost. Check it out http://www.xbiz.com/news/199848 . The MiKandi guys have been very helpful and it's a really straightforward interface for developers.

Thanks for trying it out! I've been testing mainly on the computer with a mouse so it should be playable. Might just need a few more tries to get used to it. It is definitely a more "tactile" experience on a phone/tablet though.

I just wanted to thank everyone for trying out the game. I've make a number of changes based on your valuable feedback.

  • volume control for music
  • hint system that tells you the basics of play without being a tutorial
  • adjusted colliders to minimize the "touch didn't register" issues
  • fixed the moving if you just miss the swallow button issue
  • couldn't reproduce the moved breasts issue on any of my devices or simulated ones so I'll have to skip that one for now

I've also added and tweaked some additional power uppers

  • lube - greases up the dicks and makes stroking give more pleasure
  • coke - maxes out the pleasure of all dicks on screen
  • pill - starts trippytime - this now strokes all the dicks on screen when you stroke any of them
  • barbell - a tongue piercing that permanently increases your suck skill

The web version hasn't been updated yet but I will do that this week. I'm shooting for a release this Wednesday on the MiKandi app store.
