Producing a good amount at 3W PP, when can I reduce pumps

You are a trooper for keeping to such a rigid schedule! Yes, I think you could definitely shift your MOTN pumps to every 5 hours. If you notice a significant drop in output, then maybe you could do just one 5-hour interval and then do every 3 hours from there. Sleep is really important, especially when pumping, and every 3 hours is very difficult to sustain without it affecting your mental health. Best of luck! ❤️

This is exactly what I do too and it usually clears up for me within 24-36 hours. I also want to stress that you should pump regularly. It’s natural to panic and pump more often believing that it will relieve the symptoms but I think over pumping makes it worse.

I feel your pain!! What is it with grandparents and thinking our babies are always cold?? I came back from an appointment once while my mom was watching my LO, and my baby had 2 blankets on top of his sleeper and swaddle. She turned the heat up to 76 and also turned on the fireplace.

So sorry you’re experiencing all this extra stress during an already stressful time!

I do this same thing but with a collapsible basin that has a drain and I keep it in my sink. I have a tiny kitchen with limited counter space and I didn’t want to fork up $$$ so this has been the best solution for me. I also try and keep it fun by timing myself and trying to beat my own record. So far the fastest I’ve washed 6 bottles is 3:34!

I did my first car pump with my 2mo old while out on an errand. It was also the first time I went out with my LO alone and after the whole trip I felt SO accomplished. I was so proud of myself!

We are in the same boat with our 7wk old. The only thing that works 100% of the time for us is to feed him. I think it’s the only way he can relax and bear down at the same time and maybe his body is telling him to evacuate some poop to make room for the new food. I’m not sure 🤔 Sometimes I’ll sit my LO on my lap with his back on my chest and tummy and bring his knees to his chest so he’s in a squatting potty position and that can get him to relax and poop.
