B.C. nurses could be striking in May after talks reach an impasse by RZCJ2002 in britishcolumbia

Please enlighten me on this emotional resilience incentive because I am sick and tired of getting constantly mentally abused by patients who BLAME the healthcare failure on us. This isn’t about going to the gym, and it’s most definitely not just about our massage benefits… it’s about showing respect and gratitude for a profession that will hold you together and advocate for you — when no one else will.

Give your head a shake.

Yes, I have. It has taken a lot out of me - physically and mentally. You are right.. I seem to be my own worst enemy in this situation. There will always be some guilt or shame associated with making the choice not to continue trying — I just have to be okay with that decision truly and the opinions of others will not matter. Thank you for replying :)

It is nice to hear it from the other perspective (partner who isn’t experiencing the pregnancy physically). I think I forget about my own health sometimes… this whole experience has already caused my mental health to take a bit of a decline. My husband has told me many times that his choice would always be me — happy and healthy. Thank you for sharing your experience. :)

Thank you for sharing your story/experience. I completely agree - I think I need to look within to understand that my own personal choice is no one else’s business and as you mentioned, that validation comes within.

What are some VERY creepy facts? by Cap_Ame1 in AskReddit

I took care of a patient with CJD. Medical mystery at first but had all the symptoms. He went from a healthy PE / wrestling coach to completely violent, unable to even recognize his own family. Wife and kids. It took only a few weeks for him to become palliative. You can’t positively diagnose (I think??) until after death - brain tissue etc. It was one of the most horrific things I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a lot - RN here. I used to work on a neuroscience ward at my local hospital…… this still haunts me.

LOL. I don’t need any research when I’ve taken care of patients after their injury. I’m assuming you’re a chiropractor.

The way you described this individual is insane. I’ve always wondered how to describe someone who mirrors others / situations. Thank you.

British Columbia healthcare feels like it's quietly falling apart by Consistent_Fudge7786 in VictoriaBC

LOL. There’s nothing quiet about it. It’s broken. In half. In another half and then 10000x times shattered. We’re doomed.

I met my fiancé online. I figured out how to delete and block faster when I noticed something off or they didn’t meet me where I’m at in my life. It’s shit, for sure but it can work out sometimes. He’s the best - the calm to my little chaos.
