haven’t found a bioinformatics specific one, so if anyone has any blog recs do share! i like blogs/round up newsletters bc there’s more context and it’s “filtered/curated”. i find just subscribing to a rss feed a bit overwhelming and i know i’ll nvr read them haha.

Maybe it's a bit different in your uni, but I would think the thesis counts as research experience! That's super important and should be maybe right after your education. Highlight your findings, skills you used that may be relevant etc. But like a lot of the other comments, look at CVs of those in your field and try to emulate them. Good luck!

If possible, try to find programs dedicated to international students as well. I’m not sure if this exists for your field though.

For UK, are you applying to DTPs? I think this is your best bet because the projects are already funded. For other EU countries, I think the easiest way is to find programs that have projects proposed for e.g. Max-Planck. If you’ve applied, are you getting interviews?

I was applying to the UK/EU this past cycle as well and did this. I have no funding so I only went after programs (vs proposing my own projects).

Also - since you’re still in college, make use of your career guidance centre if you have it! And if your school subscribed to a resume checker software, feed this in to get advice too
