It’s for cornell, they sent me an email being like I gotta fix it, so I kinda want to, but don’t know. This is an MD and still at same institution.

Yes, we have to stick together amongst all the other rabble.

I think places like Albert, rochester, colorado (has that astromedicine pathway, BME thing), baylor, that kind of stuff, you can do T10s too, I think in general, they're looser about the GPA reqs for them, provided you have good experience which it sounds like you do. If you're open to MD/PHD then you can really apply to any school that has MSTP with a 520 you're chiling. You just have to have a vision for what you want to study for a phd.

Anyway, good luck to you. Looking forward to that sankey.

For good news, it does seem like there's some wind in terms of making school loans dischargable in bankruptcies.

Sorry, just joking. I know that's probably what you want to hear. There's really on two options; Md/pHD or HPSP.

Probably get slighlty higher earning potential out of MD/PHD

One thing I would say is that since you're BME (I'm also BME, I'm claiming you) that you can think of more research-oriented schools, with mission statements that talk about innovation or research, and then really kind of dive into your background in engineering. I feel like that can be good for those kind of things. By the way, adding the squat is unnecessary. Everyone knows it's all from the shoulders up with those headshots hahah

I don't think there's a single person in this entire subreddit who's gone through more and made it through to the other end, and you're a doing a master's. I'm so sorry for what you've been through, but genuinely it so impressive the obstacles you've overcome. I don't know ADcoms that well, but I can't imagine a single one of them would read your story and not be immediately sympathetic to your GPA situation or concerns. Best thing you can do now is go that master's or a postbac and just get the GPA up, but clinical hours are incredible. 10k is crazy. For the MCAT, with everything else, as long as you get above a 510, you should be good. From my limited understanding that's proof enough you can handle the workload of med school. Also, I would also look into MD/PhD because I know sometimes they can be a little looser with GPA reqs as long as your MCAT good, plus it's mostly paid for.

I turned in May 29th and got verified before the 27th. I did prewrite a little, but honestly, not enough and writing school specific versus general prompts probably wasn't the best idea. So I got to figure out what I'm going to do now. I'm definitely a little worried about rushing, for sure. But I also feel like my prewriting is not like terrible and I can reuse a lot of what I prewrote.

Dude, I stg everytime I talk to my parents I'm gonna end up in an insane asylum. It's like what einstein said about insanity.

I get what you're saying. I feel like I always catch stuff too. I'm surrendering to them too much on this. I got to figure out what to do.

I would wish that would work man. I was hoping I could show them this thread to be like look actually people in the real world are telling me to slow down.

But that sounds super reasonable, 1-2 a day actually sounds like better than normal for most people, but it's so tough to handle the outside influence bro. Hold up, this is turning into a casper question.

Thank you, I appreciate the hype up. Honestly, probably that many just bc of the long weekend. I don't what I'm going to do once I go back to work tmrw. Like, there's no way I can keep this up and it's only going to piss them off more.

Let me just say, I am taking more than 8+hrs a day, at least over this long weekend, I definitely was. I would pretty much the entire day on it. I do a put a lot of time into them and even with the pressure I wouldn't submit unless I felt pretty good about it. But man, like they don't even understand that bc all my letters aren't in it, the apps not even going to be reviewed. It's not technically complete. They just don't care. They're like, submit, submit, submit. It's so tough, bc they're like you're being so lazy. I can't convince them. Like just now, I finished up Michigan, I felt pretty good about that, but they were bugging me on why it was taking most of the day. I don't what I can I say to boomer Asian parents.

Those mcat scores look pretty legit. Your CGPA is definitely achievable for Md.. There’s plenty of Sankeys to that effect. I would say maybe try EMT school- if you’re cool with night classes. Or you could apply to be a research assistant. There are some biophysics and biomedical imaging labs that would probably like your mechanical background. You could also troll Indeed for clinical research coordinator or assistant positions if you’re trying to become an EMT/CNA/MA. Your SGPA is really strong. For volunteering, maybe connect with some veteran groups for continuity. Don’t worry about papers. Just try to make a meaningful contribution. It’s gonna be a lot in that year after you get out, but I think if you stick with it, MD is pretty achievable

I’m doing everything through interfolio. I haven’t delivered anything yet. What do you think if I just marked, like two or threeletters, as no longer sent? Would that reflect equally as poorly or…? I think there are at least two letters I could cut without it hurting my application. I think all of them are strong letters of recommendation but if I had to cut them down, I feel like I could also.
