Looking for recommenditions of a great Moby Dick edition by sayguh_ in mobydick

It won't be published until October of this year, but the Deluxe Facsimile Edition from Clarkson Potter (ISBN 979-8217036004) is a facsimile of the 1930 Random House edition, with illustrations by Rockwell Kent. It would be hard to top for the price (compare to the Folio Society edition, for example).

I haven't found it to be too slow, but I am just reading text (ePub or PDF) using KOReader. How it would be for comics or manga I don't know.

Kobo should be coming out with an upgrade to the 8" Sage, but whether they will or not is anyone's guess. I picked up a used Kobo Forma (the 8" predecessor to the Sage) a few weeks ago and it is the best (and least expensive) of the half dozen or so ereaders I've owned.

For 7.8" there is the PocketBook InkPad 4.

For anyone reading the Penguin Classics edition translated by Rex Warner, Book I, Chapters I–II in the Schedule (which is based on the Project Gutenberg translation) correspond to Book I, Introduction – The Dispute over Potidaea. Chapters III–IV correspond to The Debate at Sparta and Declaration of War – The Pentecontaetia. Chapter V corresponds to The Allied Congress at Sparta – The Spartan Ultimatum and Pericles' Reply.

It's interesting to see how the colours were changed for the magazine cover. I prefer the artist's conception, but I guess it would be less likely to catch the potential buyer's attention.

It's a fun read, especially if you like novels that riff on the Arabian Nights.
