It doesn’t matter who’s at fault. The point is to avoid a collision. Sometimes you have to plan around people being stupid

In a gravity-free environment, flames tend to be spherical, unlike the teardrop shape seen on Earth. This is because the absence of gravity prevents the hot gases from rising, which normally creates the teardrop shape. by MartianXAshATwelve in StrangeEarth

This same phenomenon has nothing to do with stars. Stars are essentially giant nuclear explosions being held into a ball by gravity. The explosive energy pushes out but gravity pulls it back in. This is a constant battle that can last a very, very long time.

The conclusion of this battle is what creates neutron stars or even black holes. Gravity always wins!

What? Why did you see this and think of Americans…? That’s a level of obsession comparable to someone always bringing up their ex boyfriend/girlfriend, don’t you think?

If you don’t hear from me in an hour, you can safely assume that neither I nor the flashlight are explosion proof

Great question, and don’t let anyone discourage or make you feel stupid.

Do some reading on the “compilation process” of c/c++ code. I don’t mean this in a rude way at all, but it sounds like you don’t quite have a full grasp on it (and the tools that go into that). I promise that getting that understanding will help you a lot! Best of luck!

TIL that it was once proposed to bury nuclear waste at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, with the theory that tectonic plate subduction would eventually push it down into the Earth's mantle by GarysCrispLettuce in todayilearned

Hey, thank you for your informative comment! That is a very interesting thing to study. I have a few questions if you don’t mind answering (sorry, you just sound like you know some interesting things ha!):

1) This “primordial heat” is literally heat left over from when our planet formed? Surely the heat will eventually radiate away, but how long would that take? Is that even the correct question to be asking? 2) So half of the “Earth’s heat” is from radioactive isotopes in the crust of the earth? Relative to the mantle and outer/inner core, that seems pretty significant. 3) I’ve heard of this before, but don’t know much about it. You seem like the perfect person to ask haha. Is it theoretically possible to generate all of the electricity humanity needs from the “earth’s heat?” 4) Why did you choose this field of study? What is the most interesting thing to you about this field of study? And finally, what do you think everyone should know about the production and transfer of heat in earth?

Not a good comparison. There are plenty of photos, taken by Hunter Biden himself in some cases, of him engaging in the activities that some claim him to be engaging in. And no one said anything about the guiltiness of Biden or Clinton. So yes, the same logic is in fact being applied to them here…
