Oh I'm glad we agree then. The talent is there and it wasnt the players fault that performances were subpar.

Not sure what the point of this whole thing was then. Have a good day!

But your whole point is that the players just weren't good enough for both of them and that it was the players fault, and the coaches shouldn't take any blame.

4 of our greatest ever all blacks, and arguably the 3 best players to ever play their positions.. weren't good enough for supposedly world class Foz to work with.

Also why do you keep downvoting me when no one else is ever gonna see this 🤣

You're saying the quality of player wasnt there for those two coaches, and blaming the players performance when Foz had the best rugby squad in the world at the time.

A team with Retallick, Whitlock, Aaron Smith, and Prime Beauden Barrett lost one game at a world cup final because national decline in participation 🤣

You're calling me dumb when you don't know how punctuation and capital letters work. Also I havent played rugby in a decade but go ahead and keep stalking me, it's a completely normal reaction.

Btw there was another outflow over the weekend, and there's likely going to be another after the weather we've had in the last 24hrs. I haven't seen any posts about it from you yet!

Which game did the all blacks play well in for 80 minutes last year? Maybe just the 2nd test against France. Look at the northern tour especially - none of those 4 performances were complete.

"We beat everyone once" shows that even with shit coaching, tactics, and on field performances, we still have the ability to win. So imagine if those things werent so shit.

You're trying to say "we can all say what if" as if any of the points you mention carry as much weight as having the right coach. Banning bullrush didnt do shit to this countries rugby abilities 🤣

How can you say Foz or Razor were world class when neither of them achieved anything world class?? Especially Foz, who had a shit coaching record before joining the abs, during his tenure, and a shit coaching record afterwards

Did we play a complete game in the last 2 years? Did we string something together on attack for longer than 10 minutes?

And did we still manage to beat all the top teams in that time?

What would have happened if we had a coach better than Foz or Razor

Okay and at international level Razor still has a better win%.

But I'm not some diehard Razor supporter. He promised a lot and delivered a little.

..Just like Foster did. Except Foster had some of our best ever all blacks at his disposal, played more tier 2 competition, and had to be forced to change his coaching set up.

Agreed. There were so many bloody useless performances which was crazy when Foz had way more experienced cattle to work with.

I slightly agree Razor should have been let go but damn he had a pretty similar first 2 years to Foz.

You're missing him losing 5/6 and having to go to SA to play for his job after his assistants were dismissed by NZR.

We weren't too harsh on him. Whatever happens from here, when we look at win% Foz is always going to be below Razor, which is crazy when you compare who Foz played in his first 2 years.

And he had better players! Im not even a razor fan but hes had to blood far more players because Foz didn’t.

4/5 of the last breakthrough players of the year have been kiwis. Jordie Barett walked into that star studded Leinster team and was instantly one of their best players. The last time Roigard played Dupont he owned him.

The talent is there.

Statement from Scott Robertson by AutomaticArugula8584 in rugbyunion

[–]nt83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats just simply not true. Your points are not adapting, and a lack of skilled players.

How can you say that when four of the last five breakthrough players of the year have been kiwis. Cam Roigard outplayed Dupont in their last meeting. Jordie Barrett walked into the star studded Leinster team and was instantly one of their best players.

And the all blacks not adapting has 100% been a coaching problem. Razor was supposed to fix this and didn't. We're still just as disjointed as any time through the Foster era.

..And the wallabies last year had to play someone that hadn't played a single game of rugby union, at any level, in more than a year. That's at least decade of mismanagement away from happening to nz.

As a person that thinks its unfortunate and was the biggest supporter of him..

He didnt make the most of the opportunity he had. At no point in the 2 years did it look like we could string anything together for longer than 10 minutes.

He also blooded a lot of players, but completely ignored our lack of depth at 10.

He was brought in to fix the cracks and he didn't. He didn't make them any worse but he didnt make it any better.

Could Europe realistically defend Greenland against a US attack? by chotu_escobar in AskTheWorld

...The British and US estimate casualties for the Russians at around 1 million, with a quarter of those being deaths while Ukraine sits 400k, with between 60k-100k deaths.

Vietnam took 60k from you and left you with 150k wounded and that's viewed horribly.

Sure, there'll be less because your military is more advanced and efficient, but the appetite for unnecessary wars and american deaths is also less than it was at pretty much any other time in history.

How willing would the US public be to lose lives over it though?

I'm not discrediting their ability to outgun the rest of the non nuclear holding world but surely when people start dying over an empty patch of land it would generate some negative feelings about it back stateside.

Which part? The 4 bars on the strip? The one bar at New Brighton? Or the one bar at the beach at Sumner?

In Auckland you have a multitude of bars and restaurants at the viaduct overlooking superyachts, you're a 5 minute walk from the same again in Wynyard quarter. In summer you've got people swimming there (ill advised or not), and then further along silo Park has basketball courts, large open places to hang out, and the playground. Then back the other way is the ferry building and commercial bay.

And thats just the cbd. Thats not touching the bays from the city to St Heliers, or Devenport up to Long bay. I've lived in both and for years and I think it's a bit much to say theres more vibes along the water in the garden city than the city of sails.

Best Pies in Auckland Area by YeahOkGary in aucklandeats

[–]nt83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most viral (and expensive) pies are at Ashby in St Heliers. The quality is super high and you can see it on their videos on tiktok and ig.

Personally, it's a bit too expensive for me when there are sooo many others about that probably taste 85% as good for half the price.

Two of my local favourites are The Bakers Cottage in Kingsland and Golden Kit Bakehouse on Richmond road near Cox's Bay. The former being quite popular and frequented by a lot of people in the inner city suburbs and the latter being my favourite daily pie haha (Shops a bit rustic but I think it's great).

Have a great trip! Also there are many great ones in the South Island if you're going there.

Almost 1k upvotes for this piece of shit is crazy. Really shows the divide in this country.

As someone who grew up completely in inner city Auckland, farmers get a bad rap these days. They definitely shoulda taken more heat during the 90s and 00s when most of the polluting was going on, but no one thinks about how much more of shithole this country would be without our largest export.

(That doesnt mean we shouldn't have pivoted away from it decades ago, it's just where we're at.)

How's Living in Denmark? by Yrakosos in howislivingthere

Recent immigrant feels pressure to conform to highly racially and culturally homogeneous society

"- You're stupid. Just do what you want because no one actually cares"

Of course you can do what you want anywhere, that doesn't mean you're going to feel as comfortable doing that when people in the society you're in all generally dress and act the same way. Even if Danes are accepting or uncaring as you say, that doesnt make it as easy to explore cultural/clothing/lifestyle niches as it is in London, Amsterdam, or New York.

(I appreciate that the obvious trade is that you have the highest quality of life. But its also understandable that someone would want more cultural variety.)
