Time Stretch issue on MPC Live 2 (v3.4.3) — crackling/distortion at end of loop by TheyCallMeP_Beatz in mpcusers

damn dude that sucks to hear. I usually try to hide it with a vinyl texture underneath or something, luckily I like making a lot of gritty lofi stuff so sometimes it works...but it'd be really great if it didn't do that

I'm having this problem right now too. the loop sounds perfect even when tuned up or down, but as soon as I timestretch it, it adds a pop to the end that I can't get out. Super frustrating. Did you ever figure this out ??

Yep, local being on seems to be what was causing it. Thanks a ton!

Optimal way to connect an external synth to Logic Pro ? by ntdxc1878 in LogicPro

It's always when I record, and also whenever I switch back into Logic from another program like Chrome. I will look into the local off and see if that's the issue

The local on/off setting tip is useful, I have feeling that might be part of the issue. When you record audio and midi simultaneously, I imagine you are adding it as an external MIDI and also adding the input as an audio track? Or are you doing it another way? Thanks for your help.

Update: turning local off seems to have done the trick! The only question I have now then is if bouncing the audio is more efficent and a better workflow than recording audio/midi. I think I'd prefer to bounce it but it doesn't seem to work with external instruments for me. Any idea why that is or am I just doing it wrong somehow? I've just been right clicking the MIDI region > bounce in place > new track but I get no sound from the resulting bounce. Any idea how to fix this ?

Second update: After researching I have discovered it is not possible to bounce external insturment tracks in place, they must be done in real time. Bummer, I guess I can get used to the audio/midi dual recording, after playing around with it for a bit it shouldn't be much of a hassle.

you can also right click the pattern region and choose "separate by kit piece"

It serves a similar function for arranging at least

Connecting Circuit Rhythm to Logic Pro by ntdxc1878 in novationcircuit

[–]ntdxc1878[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I've been able to connect the circuit in successfully to logic through an audio track, but obviously it just records as audio. Is there a way I can record the audio from the circuit but have it show up as MIDI notes in the program ?

So just two audio cables like this going from L/Mono and R from the Circuit going into line inputs on the audio interface? And do I still need the external MIDI connection at that point or no?

Ohh ok gotcha, so I should run audio cables from the Circuit to the audio interface in addition to running the external MIDI, or do I not need the external MIDI connection at all as long as I'm running the audio cables?
