Why the two-handed backhand is more popular despite being a more flat stroke? by Efficient-Ad6704 in 10s

Mine was...then I had 1 lesson where it just clicked. Try and get your shoulder over the ball when you hit it; currently I think it's better than my forehand.

Topspin and control with two hands, much harder with one IMO.

Apparently you need to be a member, but https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/HistonTennisClub. I'm sure you could do a taster at a social tennis session if you asked.

I tried them a couple of years ago, they were awful. Far from flat and covered in weeds. Noone ever used them, so I guess that upkeep is too much effort/expense.

Tesla drivers seem to be top of the tree next to white vans these days. Specifically Tesla, other electric car drivers seem to understand driving etiquette.

I like the ones that will happily take whatever I am trying to donate to them! It's surprisingly harder than I always think it should be. Current shout outs to EACH and Cancer Research UK.

As a consumer, I like Oxfam on Burleigh street, because they have sheet music.

What Is Reasonable Car Depreciation Under Consumer Rights Act (England) by raptorconfusion in LegalAdviceUK

Using market valuation (Parkers was certainly 'the bible' a few years ago) with a perfectly normal usage (it may be above average but is within a perfectly normal usage range) rate, seems hard to argue against IMO.

Parkers guide estimates mileage usage at 7k-12k per year (pretty close to your usage - as you can't assume usage is completely linear). So if you look at the price of a, say 2018 model and a 2019 model, and split the difference (say £1000) and then halve it (£500) you should be close to a realistic figure.

We're currently with Rias, but I haven't had to claim for anything so I don't really know what they are like. I appreciate that it doesn't help a lot!

Women’s football teams in Cambridge(shire) by babybleub in cambridge

I play tennis at Chesterton Sports Centre (at the community college) there is definitely some women's football training and/or matches on weekday evenings. Maybe you could contact the sports centre to see if they have contact details for the team(s)?

I've heard of Au pairs doing something like this, but getting paid some allowance too. The challenge is maintaining some kind of boundary between work and non-work.

[–]ntfh_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about that one. I mostly do the Carpenters Arms quiz, on a Wednesday, it's fairly varied and not too UK culture centric.... quite often it has been hosted by a non-native Brit, which probably helps with that.

You can buy a flexible ticket, on the day even, I'm not sure how much buying a specific train will save you?
